This song came out in 1998 when I was 18, it was the year me and my girlfriend got together, I would have never guessed we would still be together 18 years later
brian flincher Congratulations ♥️♥️♥️ I was 16 when it came out and I'm also still with the guy I was dating at the time of this song. 18 yrs and we're married with 2 kids and one on the way :-)
brian flincher Me and my wife got together in November of 1998 when she was 16 and i was 18. now it's 2018. going on 20 years. This song bring back memmories.
Still bumps at house parties, hits different on those late night strolls. INOJ did this song justice. Cyndi and INOJ made this a TIMELESS classic. But as a 90s kid, this version holds a special place in my heart.
Damn I gotta find mine lol! Must be in my old dusty attic somewhere lol! ...Joke it was probably donated by my mom haha. I hope they take good care of those! Those got me through some tough and awkward times in HS!
INOJ actually created her own genre of music. Recording cover versions of hit 80s songs with a soul, pop, dance music twist. It was a brilliant sound. I wish she had kept going. She would be iconic.
You’re kidding, right? The 90s was full of music videos, movies, etc. that weren’t “modest,” “clean” or “innocent” lol. This video isn’t representative of every single thing that came out of the 90s. Your memory must be warped. And the same applies to the 80s. Also, the video isn’t supposed to be “sexy” at all. It wouldn’t fit the theme and lyrics of the song.
@@ayanp353 Um....... no. You didn't read my comment very well and completely missed the point. I suggest you read @Just a Jake Fanboy reply. He gets it.
@Just a Jake Fanboy Thank you! You absolutely hit the nail on the head with what i was saying. Completely and perfectly on-point. Some people just get it. Others recklessly reply without actually reading or comprehending. Good on you.
The lyrics remind me of God. No matter how much bad we do, no matter how far we stray from the path, he is always there willing to help those who want help.
If you want to feel relaxed, you listen to Cyndi Lauper's Version. But if you want to get energized, you listen to Inoj's Version. Both are really great!
I been looking for this forever. Man this song is so timeless. I remember riding and this would come on the radio. I would just sit back and reminisce.
I'm lying in my bed Hear the clock tick And think of you Caught up in circles Confusion, there's nothing new Flashback, warm nights Almost left behind Suitcase of memories Time after... Sometimes you'll picture me I'm walking too far ahead You're calling to me I can't hear what you've said And you say, go slow I fall behind The second hand unwinds If you're lost, you can look And you will find me Time after time If you fall, I will catch you I'll be waiting Time after time If you're lost, you can look And you will find me (And you will find me) Time after time (Time after) If you fall, I will catch you I'll be waiting (I will be waiting) Time after time After my picture fades And darkness has turned to gray Watching through windows You're wondering if I'm okay Secret stolen All from deep inside The 808's on time If you're lost, you can look And you will find me Time after time (Time after) If you fall, I will catch you I'll be waiting (I will be waiting) Time after time Time after And you say, go slow I fall behind The 808's on time If you're lost, you can look And you will find me Time after time (Time) If you fall, I will catch you I'll be waiting (I will be waiting) Time after time (Time after) If you're lost, you can look And you will find me (I know you will find me) Time after time (Time after) If you fall, I will catch you I'll be waiting (I will be waiting) Time after time Time after time (Time after time) Time after time (Time after time) Time after time (Time after time) Time after time (Time after time) Time after time (Time after time) Time after time (Time after time) Time after time (Time after time) Time after time (Time after time)...
Man, I love this redo... the flow, the artist, and that addictive drum sound that the so so def label is famous for. This song mixed with driving on a summer day, with the windows down and the volume up! Yes...!
I remember a trip to visit my fathers parental home in Pakistan back in early 1999 and I visited some music stores and bought a compilation CD and this was one of the songs on it. This was never released in my home country (UK) to my knowledge so it was a nice surprise to find this on the CD (in Pakistan of all the places!). I played it incessantly. It was the soundtrack to my holiday! Glad I’ve just found it again. Still sounds as wonderful now as it did then...
Rarely do covers of songs meet or surpass the originals. This one does. Well done, Inoj. It's a shame we don't hear enough of you on the radio nowadays.
I won't lie, I thought this was a very respectful cover of the original. I love the bass music genre influence in the sound and perfectly reflects the lighthearted zeitgeist of the 90's.
I remember our field trip way back 98. This song was everywhere. Radio, MTV, Taxi, Bus, Restaurant and Mall. Oh how sweet the 90s was. I miss it terribly.
Every time I listen to this song it takes me back to 90s. It makes me feel so nostalgic. I miss those years, music, movies, neighborhood, school and unforgettable memories.
I remember the days listening to this on the radio alongside better off alone and castles in the sky. I really do miss the optimistic vibes of the 90s and early 2000s.
ah yes. I was a sophomore when this came out. I like this version and the original as well. Who misses calling the radio station requesting for a song. I would wait on the line just to request one. Even though it's so easy nowadays to access our favorite songs, the whole idea was special back then. Even more if you get the chance to ask the Radio station to dedicate the song to someone.:) I miss that feeling.
super tired of the covid cult’s bs…they still force ppl to wear face diapers in areas of the hospitals. Its 2024 now n i still see some covid clowns wearing face diapers outside
i love INOJ way back 2000's, well it's late being famous in our country cause we dont have much media to influence our way to love songs, later did this banger started playing on our previous home. it was good. and butterfly in my stomach kind of thing.
This song reminds me of a girl I liked in my secondary school. On a train to a long school excursion, she was sitting next me and we were chatting. This song was on the radio. I didn't have a chance to tell her my feelings though. A bitter and sweet memory.
This is one of favorite songs of all time me and my sister discover this in this late 90s we were both teenagers. We both decided this was gonna be our song because we both wanted each other to know that if we fall we can always depend on each other no matter what... this week I turn 35 and my sister is 32 she sing this song to me for my birthday because the of corona virus I didn’t get to celebrate outside and she wanted to make happy. There was never I time a heard this song when I didn’t think about my sister and whenever she hears it and I wasn’t there she would record it and send it to me by WhatsApp.. love u so much sis to ZW from TH🇰🇾🇯🇲
Lol I knew about the original version yet this is my very first time experiencing this version everyone's saying that this was in 98 I was a lil boy around 7 yrs old around the late 2000s or early 2010s I found out fully about this song but to actually hear an upbeat tempo of this song oh wow OMG perfect frfr
