inoLECT's universal Remote racking device, the inoRAC2, allows users to operate curcuit breakers from over 80 feet away from the dangers of electrical arc flash. The unit monitors torque and breaker position during the entire process, and displays data on a high-resolution color touchscreen. No switchgear modifications are needed.

We had powervac equipment where I worked 12.5 kv primary switchgear. We just had a small motorized socket that mounted on the door and engaged the racking screw. It had about a hundred feet of cable running to a hand control with buttons for forward and reverse. This way we could stand on the outside of the room while doing this procedure.

That is really useful full I hope the companies provide it it’s will makes high grantee of safety for person and switching device in case of any short circuit or such as cases

Высший класс подстанция .. Мастер инженер профессиональный все правильно сделал только по инструкции должно быть двое контролёров один снимает показания а второй страхует на расстоянии . но все равно шкаф отключать нужно и заземлять и на резиновый коврик вставать убедится что все отключил напряжения потом снимать показания

I usually rack in/out MV breakers by my hand and panel is open 🤚 Now I see the video. know My job not safe company doesn’t care about us

That seems to be an expensive, slow and really uneccesary procedure. If a breaker is on the bars and closed the interlocks will not allow it to be racked down. It needs to be open to enable the racking mechanism.

@@MrKrisleatherman Good question. My answer is: on a placard posted on the ESS door, fence, or gear itself stating that the gear is equipped with arc flash sensing devices.
