This Hearts of ron IV Timelapse turned out completely different than I imagined. It was supposed to be a historical Run with Germany beating France and ending up in Russia. Instead, after Poland, Germany fails in the Benelux and the war turns into a repetition of the Trench Warfare of WWI. As the Axis and Allies are fighting each other the Soviet Union starts to eat up Turkey and the Middle east. Eventually, Britain and the Allies declares war on Russia, the same as the Axis.
This WWII timelapse has been simulated by AI in the video game Hearts of Iron IV by Paradox Interactive.
All DLC are installed:
- La Resistance
- Waking the Tiger
- Man the Guns
- Together for Victory
- Death or Dishonor

Fun fact: before Switzerland decided to be neutral af, they actually had the best troops in the world, selling their service as mercenaries. For example, in either the 7 or 30 year war (can’t remember which) the Swiss cantons had significant forces on both sides.

I am impressed that allies managed to hold France, Belgium Denmark and Greece against axis onslaught. Also you have to give a credit to Germany and Hungary for being able to hold and even push from 1945 to 1947

I would say they nearly carried the allies since they were the main land force and when spain invades, they still had about a third of their army in Russia and still managed to defeat them and singlehandedly made a naval invasion in the south of Spain

Peobably for balance cause you know paradox they try to make games interesting so if germany and soviets unite then other countries will join the allies and theyll have to fight japan most likely or america enters early for a balance

Pretty sure Spain AI has a modifier that makes it dislike joining factions for a couple of years after the civil war. Normally they'd prefer the Axis, but by the time they declared war or finally decided to join a faction, the Axis was already gone. The second choice was, naturally, Japan's faction.

Japan was still in the game and fighting in the war in 1948... It also at some point controlled India since Japanese troops were briefly seen in India at the end of the video. Somehow Japan failed to stop China and that ended with the USSR ultimately losing the war. The Axis were so close to achieving victory in France until the Russian's came and said "no".

No, actually they got good progress in France only THANKS TO the Comintern attacking in Middle-East and forcing the Allies to send more troops there. So no war with the Comintern, no advance in France.

It would be pretty epic if someone (after gaining the permission of the timelapse creator of course) used this timelapse and added things like statistics, army groups, operation plans, etc. to occasionally pop-up. Maybe even a customized Hoi4 Event, "Allied invasion of Anatolia" as an example. Hell, voice clips of various leaders of all 3 sides could occassionally be played during pivotal moments for their respective sides. This timelapse is already good, but think of how many things you can do with it

the one good thing about spain randomly joining the war against you is that they will always run out of equipment and get stuck and then you can steamroll them
