I agree. The customer probably wants something small, but those are too small for a room that size. Even the svs 16's wouldn't look outta place in that room.

In the back of the room. Or one behind each row. My room has similar dimensions and I have two near field subs and in my test when I disconnect the two subs on my front stage I can hardly tell the difference. The crisp thump and rumble of my Near fields make me feel like I'm in the movie. Try it, it's the way to go. And why so defensive they are only giving their opinion.
I am sure the customer approved having sub cables stretched across the wall. I ment to say - didn't want to open up drywall to have outlets behind each sub. The size of the screen is impressive and it's what counts. Most non OG ppl would pay no attention to small details. Thanks for posting.

It’s the size of a 16” driver…if you include both subwoofers. The surface area of an 8” driver is about 50 square inches. So two per sub and two subs makes 200”. I hope that’s what you said, because in the video it makes it seem like you told him something else 😅
The back channels are too far back and side firing - unless you used the angled Focal in-walls to direct the sound toward the sitting area. Ideally, those should have been placed on the rear walls firing more forward than sideways. Also, the fronts and center channels behind the screen should be EQ'ed to compensate for the absorption of the screen. I didn't catch if they EQ'ed the room or used any built-in equalization. Finally, it doesn't appear that GridHifi is reviewing any comments here.
yeah I'm really wondering how they are charging real money for essentially a diy job. Putting the sides that far back within what looks like 6 feet of the rear surrounds gives zero separation and a smearing effect. And that power outlet 6 feet from the sub with a cabe dangling across the floor?? I'd be pissed if I was the homeowner.
Must sound like a bathroom at Wal-Mart in there with zero acoustic treatment. Why spend so much money for incorrect speaker placement, dangling power cables to tiny subs, and no acoustic treatment? At a minimum they could have spent $1500 and done the very basic acoustic treatment to at least reduce flat surface reflections on this giant flat parallel walls. Loud does not equal good sound.
