crazy game, i had a game vs brasmak myself and also underastimated them at first and should have lost but they just started building insane units and then i pulled it back somehow, I guess they just are more into playing for the fun of it
Nice review, I enjoyed watching it. I will reconsider my options, but I guess I will be bit wonkey differently next time. 58:00 Yes I forgot, I would at least build 2 infantry if I want something expensive. the suspense got the better of me.
Lesson to learn here: Always have coverage of your heavy units especially if you are ahead and don't completely abandon your weak side to be easily taken.
This was like watching a boxing match where the rookie comes out swinging and has a few good opening rounds, and then they start to gas out, the experienced dighter figures them out, and then it's a case of when rather than if. Interesting match.
The nutty-ness of each player went in an inverse direction throughout the game. Deej with the high nut content early game and Brasmak with the extra strength nut later on in the game.
HOLY MACAROLLI This has got to be the best game showcased in this channel EVER. Wow!!! Both of you played amazingly but... SPOILERS AHEAD Yeah the main blunders you made during the start of the match was definitely not building recons, I was actually very sad about it and most of the game I was thinking of coming to the comments and scolding you about it, but it's great to see you turned the tables on that. Recons were VITAL to this game. And it's true Brasmak played AMAZINGLY but he had so much sunk cost on indirects that were doing nothing at all, as well as how you said, revealing his hand too often. I loved the way you made use of the fog. This is definitely something that almost no one does, it's kinda funny and infuriating. Fog is also a resource if you play well.
Hey my boy Brasmak! I've played him in RBC multiplayer a few times, he is a regular on my channel. Beat him last time where I played Nell and he was Flak and it was still very close (even with the drastic difference in our CO tiers).
Noooo brasmak! Totally threw it away! 😂 What stood out for me was that his tank count was generally low at many points - 3 tanks are typically better than 1 neotank and he couldn't mop up your weakened units easily. Also, I know he was Drake, but instead of those megatank builds he should have pumped out bombers. You had nothing to realistically counter that and they would have arrived on the front lines in 3 or so days, rather than the megatanks crawling across the map with the battle over before it even started. Entertaining as always!
Thanks, I absolutely was entertained! Good mix of jokes and solid analysis, I come here to try to get better. Crazy last turn, never saw such a brutal swing with a lucky lass.
I have to say... i loved this commentary, i had no idea that you were going to be able to come back from that. But i had an idea when i saw the missles thst this dude was goibg to through lol. GG
The last time I played on this map, I was also player 2 and decided on a T-copter opening. After exhaustively planning my opening, I decided that going for the airport on day 1 was the best option.
An Anti-Air killing an Infantry and drawing Tank fire so a Tank can first strike that tank basically pays for itself since it costs 8000, killed 1000, and distracted 7000. With less units, putting the Anti-Air in the front lines increases unit count and each move is more important so drawing one Tank fire out of four is great.
That early recon going to the top was a great example of how slightly suboptimal moves can be good in fog - it could arrive to the right one turn earlier, but there it wouldn't get a free hit. Also, this map is not for rockets, too open and 2bases is too low for decent walls
I stumbled upon this game right after it finished and immediately submitted it to go7. I don't submit much anymore but this game was such a head scratcher I simply had to. Granted it did steal some of Deejus' thunder. I think the issue was the overall skill level, Deejus could recover from a brutal start as he is very good with tactics, but against an opponent who knows how to keep their foot on the gas he would have been crushed. Also that missile...
Mechs & Missiles. Infamous Duo. I bet the missiles were a miss click. Either way, he also didn't build air units until later. Yes, I know it's Drake, however Comm tower and power activation almost neutralizes the negative.
Hello deejus I am a avid viewer of your commentaries and game hosting matches. I am meaning to watch to have you host a game of Grimm vs. Sturm. Typically, who would win, the offense wallbreaker Grimm, or the fortress-like defense Sturm. With both of their day-to-days, they are offsetting themselves, so I am looking forward to see that match. Thank you if you would ever do it.
An underrated detail, in my mind, about Rachael on base light maps is her d2d. Her d2d is so garbage but when units are harder to produce, it becomes so much more important to keep them alive. That 1 extra hp can really come in handy when both defending a key location and attacking a new location
What a come back! Not taking merit in you Deejus but brasmak seems to be 2 players. The guy that play the first days so damn good seems not the same that make so mistakes mid to late game... Missle? Medium? fall back with so many units and advantage and great engangementes? I mean, this matches have days, but still... In any case! Great turn of tables, I thought in mid video that for sure you were lose..
