In Texas the lack of rain, I believe has kept the crappie more shallow than people realize. Not having that current doesn't motivate them to hop in the creek channels and ride it out.

oh wow this is great!!! I have never been fishing in texas. I do have a kid and grandkids there but we never went fishing yet. I have always thought that rainbow trout are the prettiest fish around but now they have a contender!! Those crappies are really beautiful!! really really beautiful!

I live in Michigan and all our crappie spawn in that 7-8 fow. They jousted started into a second spawn about a week ago. I caught several females that had eggs in them when I cleaned them.

Been to quite a few lakes and had luck with purple. But at keystones Bears Glenn, I've had lots of luck with purple. Purple n White to be exact.👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾

That purple is a very likable color for big crappies, ain’t no telling how big the ones came off, you heard the line tighten up and pull drag a little bit, so I’m guessing that purple is a winner!!!!

I'm 100% with ya. I love every catch and get excited lol. I also heard that bass can see purple the best out of any color. I wonder if it pertains to crappie also. I have pretty good success on a pink and purple trout magnet with crappie but they seem to love the bright pink more on my main lake.
