It is your level of enthusiasm and general enjoyment that make your videos fun to watch. And when I as a viewer have those ah ha moments of "that is cool, and that is cool, and that is cool."
The Silverwolf series was Grips drawn by a pre-Faust Tim Vigil. The Sanctuary series is an excellent storyline, amazing art about a couple brothers taking on the ruling class in Japan.
I did not realize that was Tim Vigil, makes it even nicer. The Sanctuary series sounds and looks really cool. I am adding it to me to read soon list. Hopefully I got them all if not I will have to track them down.
the elektra and wolverine comics that you had were done by yoshitaka amano. he's most famous for his final fantasy artwork. i would have grabbed them for a $1 too just being a final fantasy fan. same with the manga. it's definitely a more niche but i wouldn't have let those sit either. had one of those animerica extra with video girl ai on the cover back in the day too. a blast from the past haha. where i live they sold them at suncoast. enjoyed looking at those. thanks for sharing.
Yeah sometimes the Dollar Bin is not about finding an expensive book for a dollar, but grabbing something you really like for a very affordable price. I always think if this was on ebay for $1 I would still have to pay $5 to ship it, so the Dollar bin always saves you the shipping even if the book would sell cheap online. The artwork on the Elektra Wolverine books was very lovely, I had to grab it just for that.
There was a lot of gold in them thar long boxes. That Frank Cho Conan the Cimmerian #2 goes for $10-15. The Jirni #3 goes for $15-20. You literally stole those books for $1.
I did not know the values on those 2 when I bought them, but I knew with such lovely covers they most likely had some value. So many books of value, I can only imagine what I missed or what others grabbed that day. There was something like 20-30 people digging.
that Schism is part of a 4 or 5 issue connecting cover set, in my last collection I had the whole set signed by Frank Cho...One of the things I was bummed to sell
Wow this is rhe way to do it. Ao much goodness great video. Off topic I have key collector but can you recommend a different source to look up off ball more rare titles not Just keys??
The Hip Comics My Collection app is pretty good. The Ebay app also lets you scan covers to see what is listed, you just then need to change it to completed to see if something actually sold etc. Takes a bit of time but most accurate pricing.
Indiana Jones is printed by Marvel comics as well?! It's it own franchise though right? I never knew that there were Indiana Jones comics before your videos
Pop comics you should put music with your used comics or second hand in common and come out there and make a big butt for us so we can see you at the comment on comics
Mark Schultz is denying his fans his awesome art....probably not denying, but he hasn't done interior work in some time....does a bunch of writing though... I love his Xenozoic B&W books
I've stolen your collecting ethos for dollar bin diving. Stuff I'm not necessarily interested in but has crossover collectability for memorabilia or pop cult value
