Nice to have such a tall case! You can easily install two GPUs even if you don't put the first one into #1 PCI-E slot (but #3 instead). My two E5-2696 v3 are waiting for this same motherboard, but because the CPUs are much hotter than yours when turbo unlocked, I'm forced to use top air cooling - double Noctua NH-D15. You can only install them vertically, so the videocard has to be installed into #3 PCI-E slot at least to allow some space for air intake. If I ever buy a second GPU (not for SLI, but rather for GPU render), I will have to install it into the last PCI-E slot, but that will make it too close to the PSU...

How much was this build? been wanting to build one for gaming
@deletewin32
@deletewin32 7 лет назад
Martin Acevedo Probably around 3,5-4K dollar. This build was not ment for "Gaming" in general. You can build a gaming-computer for probably 1-1,5k that are more efficient and getting more FPS. Buy an fast and strong i7 and a GTX 10-series card, then you have a beast for gaming!

What happened with the 4U rackmount case?
@deletewin32
@deletewin32 7 лет назад
+Jordan Cruz I needed a little as possible connection-latency to this server, so this was the ultimate solution for now. I plan to build a new server with the 4U.

Hi guys ! I ave a question ! Can you do a SLI on a server motherboard like that ?? The motherboard really need the designation SLI on the constructeur Web page ?!!! Sorry for my bad English ^^ Thanks

+Dracro This motherboard supports 4-way SLI and 4-way Crossfire. You can check in the "Specification" tab on their website.

Keep in mind there a few different motherboards with just a few changes in the name like Asus Z10PE-D16-WS which can not run 4 way SLI but the Z10PE-D8-WS can and there are a few other models of this motherboard as well

Hello all, i need help i want to build same ws with e5 2683 ve +gtx titan x, i will use it for 3ds max,after effect,photoshop,lumion autocad and sometimes gaming ,a such build will be better than an i7 6700k +gtx titan x?
@deletewin32
@deletewin32 7 лет назад
+Abderrahmane Sarir You will probably get more performance with the i7 and a Pascal GPU!

You have a serious GPU issue here as your fps is so low for a titan as it should be over 190fps. My GTX980 gets 163fps (I do rate at the top of most GTX980's though) and my single E5 2660 v3 2.6Ghz 10 core gets 1560cb's so its neat to see your score with dual 8 core 2.4Ghz CPU's. I run them on the Z10PE-D16WS with 64GB's of ram. You might check your driver and make sure you have the best and latest driver for this Titan. Thanks for sharing

Thank you, I will look into that. I`m pretty sure it is a setting or a driver problem! (I was messing around with some stuff before I made the video)

the last guy who I helped with this problem had plugged in his onboard graphics instead of the GPU and I would mention this to you as a possible resolve however I know your motherboard has no on-board graphics so that is not the issue. I have not owned a titan yet with the Titan Z as the GPU I wanted but I am curious is there a dual power connection? I would think possibly that the card is under-powered so you might pull the connection apart and then re connect them to both the card and your power supply. I would also move the card down a slot as it seems like I had to move my card down one slot as well. We know the card is working for the rendering part of cinebench but not openGL which like you said could be a setting. If you are running M.2 SSD then one or more of the PCI slots are being used for that and you will loose the ability to use that PCI lane so you will need to move the card down. Good Luck

How long does it take to boot to POST?
@deletewin32
@deletewin32 6 лет назад
Probably around 10-15 seconds. Depends on how much BIOS stuff you disable on boot!

I have exchanged this system for a Ryzen build. But you can check power-consum on the CPU`s on Intel`s HomePage.

I hope you bought some more powerful CPUs than two E5-2630 v3... Back 8 months ago these Xeons were still quite cheap on eBay, I bought two E5-2696 v3 for $771 one and for $425 another one. One 1080 is better than two 1060 because the same amount of CUDA cores as two 1060 but more RAM per GPU - RAM of two cards can't be combined/summed up together in GPU render, so for large 3ds max scenes the more RAM per GPU you have, the better. Also, it's tricky to install two GPUs if you prefer air cooling and have CPU coolers installed vertically and you don't have much space below the motherboard - by that I mean the PSU is close. But if yoo have water cooling, then this doesn't apply to you, of course. As for RAM, if you don't plan on upgrading to 128 GB total, buy 8 sticks of 8 GB RDIMM, you will get Octa-Channel then
