I didn't expect Jimmy Butler of all people to take that shot when he's known for driving into the paint

That was a hell of a Game 7!! Heat almost came back and won but felt short with Butler missing that three. This series was something else. Back and forward each game, blowouts and down to the wire in Game 6 and 7. The Finals is going to be fun.

If that shot goes in, Its a dagger and one of the coldest shots to get them to the finals. If he misses, its still the most respectable thing the man could have done to get the win. It was in Jimmy's hands. In Jimmy we trust.

Never forget how Smart almost gave away the game. Man he missed like 5 shots straight! Thats how it went down to 2points lead.

Those saying "Jimmy Sold" .. guy is the only reason they had a game 7 at all. Heat were coming off a 0-9 run in the fourth, but you're all blaming the superstar for trying something great? He's had to bring it into to his own hands for having inconsistent teammates and you're salty after he has carried you up to this point? Spoelstra burnt all their timeouts and didn't think about playing more deep like interchanging Strus for Robinson after he had bricked the first half. The guy left his heart out there for 48 minutes and ya'll coming after him ffs

I think Butler took that 3 cause he want to get the game finished, man was too tired for an OT

Played all 48 mins... saw the opportunity and took it. Wether it was a bad shot or not, man still tried his best. Couldnt say the same with suns game 7

Great series...wow! To all the Jimmy Butler Monday morning commentators...shut-up! The man put the franchise on his back. Miami was riddled with injuries and should of lost game 6, let's be honest. They paid Duncan Robinson all that money and he rode the bench. Their 6th man of the year was hurt. Jimmy was averaging 40+ in the wins...chill out. He has a bad knee, let's not forget...no way in hell he wanted to go to overtime. They made that final run and hit some tough shots...he went for it...he missed, game over. Don't ridicule the reason you did not get swept though. Miami is Jimmy Buckets all day!

Jimmy Buckets has been unreal in Game 6 & 7. Played all but two minutes in both. But reality is, just hit the damn layup; tie the game or potentially grab an and-one. Hats off anyway. Legendary effort.

Jimmy Butler scored 37 points in the game and he is so talented. Tatum and Brown did a wonderful job sharing great sportsmanship. They are definitely going to the NBA Finals. I wonder what the Warriors are ready for this basketball match.

I didn’t get to watch the game. I actually couldn’t maybe a little cowardly. Well given how this team that I love so much responded at times, I couldn’t find enough courage in myself to watch the game. Instead I went for a drink with a friend. Regardless, I spent some time during the day checking on the teams news and updates. And towards the end of the night, I loved the wonderful ending of game- seeing joy in players’ I faces and the hugging between our guys and Miami team who have put up a heck of a game, especially that hug between Jason and Bam (so genuine and full of mutual respect). I may be rough at times with my feedback in my interactions with team updates but I have always believed and I am convinced we are one 7 layers step away from banner 18. #Celtics#love#Pride#18th

Hell off a game. For the clowns hating on Jimmy, the dude played the ENTIRE game and kept heat in the ballgame while the rest of his teammates not named Bam were hoisting up bricks all game. He had the guts enough to take that last shot for the potential win. He was clearly gassed and it isn't like Horford is a 6'0 guard. Al is a good defender. Great game but damn, I wish the Heat would have won

Too bad, Butler couldn't capitalized that shot. But it was a good game. A bit frustrated with some of Celtics players who kept making error like Smart kept trying to shoot 3 pts, you can go for 2 when you got plenty of space to shoot, then Brown kept making offensive fouls. Don't lose these kind of possessions, when you were already leading by double digits. A bit worry if they kept making these errors against Warriors who have better points accuracy. Still congratulations Boston

I got to see how this first game gonna go. Golden State got great offense and great shooters and great defense but those Celtics got defense as well. Gotta see how Marcus Smart, Brown and Tatum try to handle Steph, Klay and Jordan Poole on 1st game. If Celtics can't stop them 3. Golden State gonna sweep them.

To almost being a lottery team this year to taking two game 7s and with a rookie coach who outcoached Spo and ran circles around Nash very proud of this team but we have serious work to do. The turnovers in this series were horrific. It would be a complete blowout by GS if those were to rear their head again. Go Cs!

Unexpected decision by Butler taking that 3 points shot wherein he has the chance to drive the ball to the basket and get a possible foul. Butler might be thinking that there is no more time left so he decided to shoot the ball.

Would have been a different story if Butler made that 3 pt shot. Settled for 2 points should have been better. He's too pump up, and has the lisence to shot from the coaching staffs.

When jimmy took that shot they had one time out I believe someone should’ve called it when he started to pull up instead of drive and just live with it if he were to make it after you called the time and you have to live with that decision but it’s a decision as a coach he should’ve made been right by the ref time out soon as he crosses half court
