In this JCS inspired true crime documentary, we dive into the details of a string of disappearances that take place in Tucson Arizona. As well as a new years day crime that shook the city. This is the case of Christopher Clements.
This episode covers the details of the disappearances, the steps taken during each search, the convoluted news surrounding each case and the psychological state of the main suspect. We also dive into the subsequent legal aftermath.
I really hope you all enjoy.

I have received several comments questioning the connection between the Michael Leday case and the Christopher Clements case so I feel I must have moved through this part too quickly. To clarify - The surviving victim of the new years day attack was Valarie Calonge, Valarie Calonge is the mother of Maribel Gonzalez who is the second kidnapping and murder victim. Hopefully this helps clarify things! Thank you again for watching! :)

A malignant narcissist will never see any fault within themselves; they feel as if they are beyond reproach, and if you dare to reproach them, they will deflect your words off of them and back to you to improve their self-esteem. Even if they somehow realized that they are the problem, their omnipresent ego prevents them from accepting the burden of suffering the momentary discomfort of self-examination. They're ironically too focused on destroying evil, an evil that mind you usually doesn't exist within someone else. They do this typically in the name of righteousness. Instead of attempting to destroy evil, they should be addressing the sickness within themselves; as they live each day of their lives in falsehoods, they live with those beliefs and enforce them, the people of the lie.

_"you have to be careful how you say stuff on a platform."_ Unless you're rich and powerful, in which case there's rarely any accountability. There are rare exceptions, such as Donald Trump's recent case where he's been ordered to pay $83 million to E. Jean Carroll after already being ordered to pay $5 million for s*xually assaulting her. But Nancy Grace, as far as I know, has never been held accountable for any of the disasters she's left in the wake of her careless, baseless accusations of innocent people. A girl even commltted su*cide after Grace dragged her name through the mud and destroyed her life. I don't often wish bad things on people, but I wish Nancy Grace would end up on the receiving end of a false accusation so she knows what it feels like, the woman truly is a horrible human-being. @xombiekilla hit the nail on the head. Yeesh! We'll see if RU-vid deletes this one, too. What am I saying that's so objectionable? 🤨

@@user-mj8bg3fw8w Nancy Grace once accused a woman who lost a child of murdering the kid. The woman was later cleared, but not before she committed suicide. It's one thing to raise interesting facts on T.V...it's quite another to go on T.V. and declare "I know he killed his own daughter." It turned out she was completely wrong, but not before causing SO MUCH PAIN all based on her own arrogance and her need to get attention.

@eaaivazian
@eaaivazian 10 месяцев назад
@@cynthiacunningham7220 Trust me: when you lose a child (and I speak from experience, losing a son 10 years ago), your behavior just becomes...manic. The pain in your chest is real...physical pain caused by all the mental anguish. You say and do crazy things because your whole body is in such a state of panic. (It angers me that people STILL attack the father for this, 99.9% of people having NO idea what it's like to lose a child...and people still questioning him even though the case is 100% SOLVED.) What did the father do? He did nervous giggles. That was it. In the end, they 100% proved that a complete stranger kidnapped her and murdered her. But in the years between she went missing and when her body was found after the killer gave up the location, Nancy Grace took these conversation snippets and COMPLETELY said on T.V. that the father was the killer. She outright said it. She even (I've seen the footage) yelled at people on T.V. who were questioning her theory that the father murdered his own daughter. THE ANGUISH that this apparently caused the family was unfathomable. Not only did they have NO IDEA (at the time) what had happened to their daughter but Nancy Grace had literally millions of people thinking this poor father had done the unthinkable to his little girl. And get this: after the real killer was caught, Nancy Grace NEVER apologized to the father, never reached out to him...NOTHING. She ignored this news and pretended nothing had happened. As I mentioned in an earlier comment, one young woman whose daughter died some years ago had to then put up with Nancy Grace falsely claiming on T.V. that the young woman had killed her own little girl. The woman was eventually cleared, but it was too late...the young woman committed suicide SPECIFICALLY because she could not take the public hate Grace brought on her...people really thinking she had murdered her own daughter when the young mother was actually completely innocent. It would be like YOU losing your spouse this week and me next week appearing online and going completely viral (millions of views) stating falsely that you killed your spouse and everybody believing it to be true. Imagine how much worse your pain would become if I did this to you. It's unfathomable. It's evil. The father was innocent. It was nervous laughing during an impossible time...during the most stressful phone call on Earth. But Nancy Grace, having NO MORE INFORMATION THAN THE REST OF US, convinced millions that he was the most evil sort of person. It's not only unthinkable that someone could do something just for ratings BUT ALSO that a major news station could give her airtime to say such hurtful, false accusations.

I have a special kind of loathing for Nancy Grace, she is one of the most shallow, awful human beings out there. Once that woman decides she knows what happened, she gets tunnel vision and no amount of facts or evidence will ever change her mind. The woman couldn't give one single shit if she destroys innocent people's lives. It's chilling to know that she was once a prosecutor, and that there are others just like her who currently work as prosecutors in this country. A prosecutor's job is to seek the truth so that justice can be served, but they're often more concerned with results, whether true or not, and in Nancy's case, ratings.

Your dislike for her doesn't change the evidence of the good she has done and the justice she has served. While you and I are watching true crime, she's prosecuted it, no matter how much you off an a**hole you think she is. Nancy Grace is a force for good. Yes, she can absolutely be abrasive, like most people are, (a look at any RU-vid comment section will evidence the abrasiveness of most people, in fact most are even more spiky than Nancy), but based on her track record I believe fully that she is driven by nothing more than 1) a fierce care of and concern for children, and 2) empathy for victims of violent crime. She knows first-hand the absolute pain and ruin... the total destruction of worlds caused by violent crime, and she's motivated toward justice because of that understanding. We need more of that, actually. YES, she's prickly at times. YUP, she's been wrong before. SURE, maybe she does owe some people an apology... @@inheritmyshoes9559 No. Having a certain level of disregard for the truth is enough to rise to defamation. It depends on which country's laws you're talking about, but in the USA you do not need to know you're lying to be found liable for defamation. The two biggest defenses are that you are telling the truth, or that you are stating your opinion and it can't be verified as either true or false as an objective fact. Neither defense applies here. Falsely accusing someone of a crime is a textbook example of potential defamation. For example, you could accuse me of a crime right now. That would be with total disregard for the truth, despite you not knowing for certain that I'm not a criminal. In that theoretical scenario I'm extremely unlikely to sue, or be successful, because I'd have to prove you caused me real harm. That forms the basis of a civil suit and potential damages. Typically, though, falsely accusing someone of something horrible has the pretty obvious potential consequence of causing real harm.

I'm born and raised Tucson (in Pima County) and remember seeing Isabel's posters all over town, so it's insanely surreal to see one of the few true crime channels I'm subscribed to make a video about the case. Everyone in the county knew her name. I was ten years old when this happened and can remember a specific instance where I was walking into a Coldstone with my family and saw her poster on the window. I also remember a couple of years going by and still seeing her posters up and everyone would get sad because they all had a feeling she was gone. A lot of people thought it was her dad or people involved with her dad which I'm sure is thanks to Nancy (she should absolutely be sued for slander). When Isabel was found in 2017, I was relieved because I thought it meant her killer would be found soon. Obviously that's not exactly what happened so I never knew who did it until now. I actually thought it was still unsolved so thank you for the closure. Hopefully he is found guilty in 2024. Rest in peace Isabel and Maribel.

First my deepest sympathies to this family for their loss. I thank God that they did find the person who committed this horrible crime. What also upsets me when many people especially this reporter just accused and placed blame on the child's father and even the mother. But when they found the killer who did this horrible crime I didn't see or hear anywhere about apologies that should have been made to the parents especially the father by that reporter who helped those watching her on tv stating the blame for this crime goes to the father and she quoted" I know what I know". People like this are a verbal danger to many. It leads the police the wrong way, it helps the actual killer to almost get away with the crime and most of all the father now lost his daughter but is being blamed on the air for that crime. The police did a great job with handling this murder.

As far as the father "laughing" during the 911 call, nervous or inappropriate laughter and smiling is a real thing. I remember it happened to me and I was mortified. My then 5 year old son's asthma was so bad that none of the drugs or treatments were working, and the Dr came out and told me the only thing left that they could do was to put him in a medically induced coma and intubate him. Horrifying news and you'd think every parent would crumble and break down in tears. But I briefly smiled and let out a quiet laugh. I was horrified and the change in the doctor's face left me feeling embarrassed and humiliated. Obviously I didn't see this as good news or something funny, it was an involuntary reaction.

Another woman, who got drunk and fell asleep on her baby son, causing his death, was labelled "vodka Mom" by Grace. This woman responded by setting herself on fire. Well, if you walk into your child's bedroom and find them missing, with their bedroom window wide open and the window screen is laying on the floor outside, you're probably going to think that they were taken or kidnapped! So him saying that he believes she was abducted is pretty likely and believable, so I don't see why that would be suspicious! 🤷‍♂️

If Clements had been executed in 1998, none of these crimes, pain and suffering would have occurred.

Yikes. Nancy really messed up with her remarks. Lots of ppl laugh when they're nervous/anxious/scared.
