This is a Jiu Jitsu "Rocky" moment for sure. Wardzinski is a top black belt, but would always come up short in the majors against the top level Brazillian or American black belts. When I saw this bracket, I knew the final would be Felipe vs. Adam and I expected the same outcome as earlier this year at Europeans. As the matter of fact, it was going the same direction, but Adam channeled some savage inside of him and did something many thought he couldn't do. Just wow. I can't wait to see what he has in store at Worlds this year. I wish he had this kind of comeback at Europeans, that place would absolutely explode.

Adam is always at the top but rarely gets the gold. I'm really happy to see him winning specially with a comeback like that

I usually don’t comment on these matches but this should be seen by everyone who has been in a bad situation and felt like giving up. In BJJ or life in general.

Lucas Leite is a genius. Ability to motivate, keep his students calm, and keep himself calm enough to have the awareness to guide them to victory is unmatch. He was calling for the cross-collar like a mad man because he knew all Adam needed was an advantage to win. Genius.
