This was an example of the refs calling the game. You never want to see that sort of thing in such a close game. Even if there was contract, it wasn't evening to warrant a call.
I don't think I could ever be a referee in any game. I'll always think I missed a call and I won't be able to forgive myself, but it seems pro referees are ok making wrong calls.
@@JaykurosakiiAs myself yellow, I kinda have respect to him. It happens all the time even you play with clearly lower level players when you are Eastern Asian “in basketball”. He still hang in there to prove, much respect anyways
#5 Sam Griesel for Nebraska really don't like Tominaga 🤣 - Griesel didn't want to pass to Tominaga, but did EVENTUALLY because of the baseline trap and had to retreat and Tominaga hit the game tying 3 (2:14) - Griesel didn't pass to him on the wide open fast break (5:31) - Griesel shot a contested off the dribble 3 with a 7 footer in his face when Tominaga hadn't even finish coming off the screen WITH 5 seconds left on the clock (8:36). Griesel... you 6'6"... you spent FIVE YEARS at Nebraska and you didn't learn to shoot (44% FG, 32% from 3, 68% FT), you don't play defense for how big you are. You got Tominga flying for 20 hours straight across the world, same day, walks into the gym with head coach, with a duffle bag on his shoulder AND a time piece on his shooting wrist, and hits 20 THREES IN A ROW. He a freshman almost averaging 50/40/90 as a pure shooter.
Freeze it at 8:37 and had #5 Griesel simply just held the ball for a spit second then Tominaga would have been open near the 3 pt line. #5 also had a chance to pass to a streaking Tominaga on a fast break. Commentator even says he must have not saw him. Pretty sad. Hope #5 looks at the video.
Call near 7:15 at half court late in OT was really bad. One point game, with about 13 seconds left and the ball was turned over to Nebraska but the ref called it differently. Huskers deserved a shot to win that game there and didn't get it.
Poor awareness by Nebraska. Clearly number 30 is beyond capable of being the one to take the buzzer beaters. Both guys that took the last minute shots at the end of regulation and at the end of OT did a terrible job. They both took shots that they BOTH damn well know that they will miss. Selfishness. Poor awareness. Every single person on the floor for Nebraska should have done all that they possibly can to get the ball in number 30's hand. Bottom line.
#30 missed two 3's in a row with about a minute left in OT, so he's not "automatic." And no player _knows_ they will miss when they shot the rock. And by the way, that is a good team. They don't have selfish players. One thing is known is that a lot of turnovers in hectic game situations occur because of trying to get the ball in one particular players hands, while knowing well that guy is being tightly guarded.
@@voughn5 There is nothing to be ascertained by body language in that slow-mo replay. People express delight in different ways. Some have a toothy grin, and some have barely any reaction, and some have a grimace that actually is an expression of how "nasty" or deadly the shot was. But there is no jealousy of the Japanese star on that team, but I get the feeling you think there is. That's likely part of some insecurity you have about basketball being so "black."
@@lorinchak7436 If Curry misses 2 threes you don't stop giving him the ball unless he's already in a slump. You keep feeding a shooter. Tominaga this season shoots almost 50% from the field and 40% from 3. He was actually better in this game going 4-8 from 3 and 50% overall from the field. Nebraska failed to get the ball to one of their best shooters while guys shooting at far lower %'s threw up ugly looking shots in a meager attempt to play hero ball.
The Mayor Fred Hoiberg. Ex-ISU and Chicago Bulls HC. May be his last season in Lincoln, especially if NU misses the postseason. Finishes season at 16-16. NMSU is trying to lure in Hoiberg. He might take the bait and go.
Fred Hoiberg might be gone as NU coach, especially if the Huskers miss the NIT at 16-16. He may bolt for NMSU before Trev Alberts fires him. Then who will NU get as their next coach? Chris Mack? Damon Stoudamire?
@@Rohliable why are you making this connection? Does he play like Jeremy Lin? (He actually plays a lot more like Steph than Jeremy). Or because they are both Asian (despite Jeremy being a Taiwanese American while Keisei came from Japan)?
