I remember when this show was running and it always felt like a "humanized" Spongebob to me, even had the strange humour Spongebob had and the main protag kinnnnda acted a lot like him.
Definitely gives that vibes of early season SpongeBob where the writing permitted that he was allowed to get upset and pissed off instead of being so optimistic that he's always just happy all the time.
This show was fascinating and funny. Weird, sometimes even uncomfortable or uncanny, but it never leaned on lazy shock humor. It made kids think, and it still holds up for adults. Underrated.
I adored billy and mandy!!!! there's plenty of great cartoons out there nowadays, too :] centaurworld, ok k.o., dragon prince, infinity train, kipo, midnight gospel, villainous, etc
@@foxstomp4016 it’s a reference to how flapjack opened the door for for the type of storytelling/art that led to stuff like adventure time, chowder, Steven universe, etc
In other words Flap jack was the last of the good cartoon followed right ahead by the modern cartoons full of LGBT shit and comple made up asspulls that only led to terrible character design, world building and plot holes.

I love that title and thumbnail. lol. To think, a lot of us 00's kids watched this without really even doing a double take. I think a lot of us absorbed this, and now its a part of our humor.
I remember a bumper where they parody the tootsie roll tootsie pop commercial but haven’t found it or seen anyone else looking for it besides me, I consider it lost media
How many licls does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop? Flapjack may never know... ...but he'll at least know not to ask K'nuckles
Reverse the order. FlapJack is the show that birthed them all and before FlapJack was SpongeBob and before Spongebob was Ren and Stimpy and before Ren and Stimpy and so on
Why is this always some of the most wild sit whenever I see one of these flapjack compilations? I didn't see much of the show when it was on but now, I think I missed something
what do you suppose the hypnosis pendulum guy does when he's not being a pendulum. do you think he just hangs out there in case dr. barber needs to hypnotize someone that day, or does he get a call that he needs to come in and jiggle real wholesome-like today.
I wouldn’t mind seeing a final season of this like they did with samurai Jack, of course, with less violence, but definitely adult humor with an older flapjack
