Yeah I like Jimmy much more than pg. all I’m thinking is this, if we can be one shot away from making it to the conf. finals with a much worse version of Joel Embiid than the one we have today, a much worse pg in Ben Simmons that we have today in Tyrese Maxey, like think about it. Take 2019’s team, subtract inexperienced Embiid, add today’s prime Embiid. Subtract Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris (assuming he leaves) and add Tyrese Maxey, then you easily make it to the ecf.

I would not mind a Jimmy Butler reunion, but the sixers will have to make the team deeper with good, solid YOUNG players and actually PLAY them in the play-offs. I watched that game 6 and how Nick Nurse just sat there like a FOOL and did not put Ricky Council in that game. Nick Nurse is just like Glenn Rivers when it comes to young players, and that will kill the sixers in the play-offs next season. It seems to me once some coaches win a championship you cannot tell them nothing, and they don't adapt to change. They use the SAME formula that they used years ago and think it will work again, and that is wrong. The one thing that is constant is change.
The more I think about trading for Jimmy it makes me think about the fact that we're losing a starting pf in Tobias. We can't just trade for Jimmy and move Kelly out of position. I also think about giving up assets to get Jimmy. And if we're giving up assets and monitoring situations of players that technically aren't available... we need to do the same thing with Kevin Durant.

yeah reed is honestly atrocious. I started noticing this like 15 games before the end of the season, dude turned into a total flop. I'm pretty sure Reed, Hield, Batum, Lowry, Martin, Melton, and probably even payne for the right price will get used for trading. I think Morey is going to experiment to see what he can get with those players. As for the all the money we will have after we hopefully get rid of harris, I'm scared to see what Morey is going to do with it.
Been saying this for years- Embiid is a power forward. Get a defensive minded center and twin tower it. Im meab Ralph Samson was like 7'5 playing PF. Plus, Embiid isnt having to do everything on both sides of the ball.
That’s stupid he’s the anchor of our defense he cannot play the 4. Modern 4s are always on the perimeter. Don’t want Joel always on the perimeter. He’s our best rebounder as well.

Plus, he's at his best on the corner foul line area anyway and can post as needed down low in isolation. The Sixers should fill in a spot with a Jaren Jackson Jr type player and than let Embiid play help off the ball defense in zone coverage.
