Glen's so underrated, I appreciate you trying to speak tagalog and eating authentic filipino food and doing your best to converse with the locals. I'm so happy that you've guys had a lot of uploads here in the Philippines. There's still a lot to explore. I hope you would consider going back to our country 😉 Take care Glen and Mado, Godspeed.

If you're coming back to PH, you can try out Baguio (mountain city), Palawan (beaches and underground river) or Cebu (beaches, historical sites, and diving with the whale sharks)

Since it's a rainy season, some recommended soups are Chicken Mami or Beef Mami. You can find that in every Carinderia or stall selling local soups. Or you can go to Tagaytay City for their famous Bulalo Beef Soup. Along the road, they offer many restaurants that provide such delicacies. Better go to Poblacion Makati for a food trip at night.

I think the chicken intestine you got did not have the sauce that they usually add! It’s typically flavorful even without the vinegar!

Pares is a Filipino dish, but it does have some Chinese influence.
@eduardochavacano
@eduardochavacano 2 дня назад
Stop trying too hard to glamorize food items that were intended to be sold to the urban poor. Pares need not be linked to Chinese cuisine. No need to fabricate fun facts for food items that no traveler or foreigner need to try.
@AngkatanNamwaran
@AngkatanNamwaran 2 дня назад
@@eduardochavacano Kindly read the history of Pares, it was first sold in Binondo Chinatown by the Chinese.

In order to immense with the culture, you have to eat it the Filipino way. Ask the people around how to. One is eat with rice, other is eat with a spoon, and lastly you can eat with your hands. The food (squid) you ate should be dipped in the soy calamansi sauce which is the more appropriate way to appreciate the food completely its like eating burritos without the wrap
