I have severe vertigo and I’m deathly afraid of heights, well done for going on this because not many of us can. I struggle even on basic thrill seeker adult rides! It’s so interesting to watch
when you're spinning on it you don't get the vertigo feeling as much because when you're looking down it going to fast to get that feeling. for me at least :0 got mad vertigo looking down at hoover dam though
The fact that it's only a pull bar thats holding them down is crazy... I couldn't do this. I don't even have a fear of heights, I just don't trust pullbars anymore after nearly flying off the Yankee Cannonball. It needs to be an over the shoulder restraint and a pull bar or strap between the legs
indeed on submarines they train us to think about "failure modes"....imagine the failure mode on this thing. Some failure modes of this device are not survivable. Same was true of submarine but we were doing that to protect the USA and NATO. 🙂
Its industry standard for default to be locked for this reason lol. They require power to stay unlocked, which means power outage doesnt open the seats.
I built some rides like this in this scenario Urban Jungle from Roller Coaster Tycoon with the help from my sister and it turned out really great like we expected! Then for fun we built a B&M Hyper Lite Coaster around the top of the whole entire building which is a much taller better High Roller as I did a semi recreation of that too!
Um so the only thing is that lap bar holding ypu in? No thank you. I mean shit happens. What happens if that lap bar malfunction? This ride needs some kind of sholder harness as well to keep you in. Absolutely nuts
This one was installed by helicopter in 2005. There even used to be a roller coaster called the High Roller which opened with the Strat in the mid 1990s but was scrapped nine years later which was nothing more than a big waste!
The scariest part of this ride is at the start and at the end. Honestly it made me more dizzy than scared, I think X-scream was a lot scarier than this
I'm normally OK on rides but I became completely disorientated on this one. It felt as though I was on my back, looking up as the sky and the ground changed places. I also felt nauseous and narrowly avoided vomiting.
TheTimothy8136 I've never been on it, but I heard maybe 2 minutes. However, the first year they opened it, and started the ride, it malfunctioned during the hanging off part. People were stuck on that ride HANGING with nowhere to go FOR AN HOUR!!!! I wouldn't risk it.
Yeah I've been on it the restraint is just one lap bar I went on pretty early maybe at noon super fun ...big shot was closed down that day...only had maybe 3/4 riders ..going in the skybar and looking out through the glass window I got a bit of vertigo
Rode all three up there. Insanity, X Scream and Big Shot. All three are absolutely terrifying. If you like extreme rides these are the ones for you. I didn't think I had a fear of heights and maybe it's😂 not a fear of heights but more like a fear of crashing to my death from 1000 ft. off the ground. I am glad I did all three. If you're thinking about riding them I say just do it. You only live once and you'll regret it if you dont.
Dude this is the least scariest ride I know. If ur not afraid of heights than it’s just like walking around in circles and google told me that it was the worlds scariest ride💀 If they added a drop tower to the end, then it would be worthy of that title
