I think the best thing about this show is the fact that her losing the weight never affected how much of a toxic person the character really is. Making the case that no matter how much you change, if you don't better yourself mentally you'll stay the same
May May I didn’t hate Patty I just thought she made bad decisions because nobody was really looking out for her. Literally everyone around her was thinking about themselves.
elastic_luv She actively tried to destroy her mentor's marriage because of her crush and outed him in a room full of people.She tried to kidnap someone and killed another in a fit of rage.She was just so unlikeable and annoying at times IMO
@@supersqueak the problem is she never learned, though. when she told coralee about the affair, i could dismiss that as her being young and hurt, but she'd say she learnt her lesson and then do even worse shit: outing bob, attempting to kidnap roxy (and then we're supposed to feel sorry for her when they kidnap her instead?). patty has had a rough time of it, but her actions show ultimately, she is a bad person (not that i'd ever tell her that since i don't wanna be whacked in the head with a crowbar thirty-odd times 😓).
I hated it but I could not stop watching it... I just like demons and murder (I meant that the demons and murder was crazy) I need to learn to type 🤦♀️
The ending was not expected I thought she just knocked him out. That was until I heard like the 12 wack. She went tf in 😥 Didn't she also kill the lady who taught Bob pagents, and is the mother of Hot Bobs child? 😭😭 That bitch is crazy. to me it's like Riverdale, it's a binge-able show; entertaining enough during a boring weekend or when you can't sleep and it's 3 am, it's definitely aiming for the teenage demographic (aka me) who loves Riverdale and 13 Reasons Why. It didn't surprise me that I ended up feeling underwhelmed when I finished the whole season and wanted to take back those two days. I watched it and had high hopes because I felt bad for the the backlash it received just for the trailer, that was such bullshit, how you gonna make petitions to cancel a show that you haven't even seen yet?
it might be better for you and thats okay, but to me its the same level since im a fan of the Archie comics and didnt like how they made the gang so angsty and not funny at all.
My favorite part of that scene is the dr in the background just like "I'm not saying you ate it more like absorbed it" "again you didnt eat it" 😂 and they just ignore her
i was anticpating a huge moment in the season and then nothing happened and i forgot about it the next episode i loved the show though and will definitely watch season 2 and all the one liners made the show entertaining "I AM NOT ASIAN I AM ADOPTED" made me fall out of my bed dieing in laughter
i was expecting a typical teen drama about losing weight and the everyday things that come along with that so for me, the show far exceeded my expectations in the best possible way, i loved how insane it was 😂 also, you forget to mention that patty killed stella rose as well, so she's not just a murderer, she's a serial killer i guess 😂
never watched family guy, sex and the city, monty python, crazy ex-girlfriend or any other "outrageous" or satirical humor show huh? well get to the binging

Insatiable is a great show and no one will ever convince me otherwise the final message (at least of season 1) is great: skinny isn’t magic and it explores patty’s growth (or lack there of) in a really interesting way
I actually enjoyed the show as I love dark humor, satire, and all that relates. Though the plot was all over the place, it was still entertaining and had some nice reflective moments. Two complaints, The build up to the big pageant and lack of solution to the issues. They basically ignored the pageant and made the show (Possible S2) a murder mystery. To add on, for a show that brings up sensitive and taboo subjects, they didn’t include a lot of possible solutions or advice with the topics. In the end, it’s a decent watch and I did enjoy it.
People don’t appreciate trashy shows enough. River dale. 13 reasons why. Insatiable. All trashy ass Netflix teen dramas. Entertaining and binge worthy. Not everything has to be serious and deep and realistic or whatever

I actually really liked the show. I’m a huge fan of parodic/stupid humor. Characters like Regina and Dixie Sinclair were my favorites because of how idiotic they were. I was a huge fan of one liners like “I’m not Asian, I’m adopted.” Not all the jokes landed, but enough for me to have a good time. However the show lost me towards the end. I didn’t like the ending. Even with the parodic setting the ending just seemed so outrageous to me and I don’t like the path it sets the characters on. Patty’s character continuously gets intolerable as the show goes on, and maybe that’s the point. I don’t know...minus the last episode I’d say I had a good time. I’m definitely interested in a season 2.
I liked when she was just starting to recover, when Brick helps her loose weight again and his mom gives her a pep talk on how she doesn't need Bob to help her with the pageant. For me everything was good up until the very end of the second to last episode with the whole Patty kidnapping in a hot dog suit and Bob, Bob, and Bob's wife having a three some thing or whatever.
Why do people hate this show? I see a lot of people saying that Debby is a psycho and not likeable or whatever since she’s bad, but American Psycho was a box office phenomenon 🤔 just because a main character isn’t good doesn’t mean the show is bad. Other examples: breaking bad, house of cards
Insatiable is stupid, and I've seen so many cliche tropes in this 🙄. But, honestly, Insatiable is ONE of the best show I've ever seen. It was original and had important messages in it. It doesnt mean Insatiable didnt have plenty of horrible moments (trust me, it DOES). It was definitely worth watching.
I love it. It takes every silly teen tv show cliche and just ramps it to the max to show how ridiculous it all is. As any good satire should. But then it also has some genuinely touching moments between the characters, which I think when you doing a season long show instead of a movie is necessary to keep people invested.
I enjoyed this show and yeah, it's trashy but in a great guilty pleasure sort of way I haven't seen in awhile and the only reason people are hating on it now is because SJWs jumped the gun and are too embarrassed to admit that it has nothing to do with fat shaming

I held off on watching the show initially for awhile cuz I had heard about all the controversy surrounding it. Once I did though, I was shocked with how much I related to Debbie Ryan’s character. Something I felt and many other insecure fat kids dreamed of is losing a ton of weight and suddenly being deemed hot by everyone around you. What no one tells you about that experience is that just because your outside is different doesn’t mean the inside changes too. Though her experiences were OUTLANDISH in many ways I was able to relate them or at least the thought process behind them to experiences of my own. I fell flat on my face MANY times just as she did on the journey to understanding oneself and eventually loving yourself.
I will never understand how Debbie Ryan continues to get work considering her acting chops peaked at Disney channel sitcom and will never get any better
I found the show enjoyable. Sure maybe there was a message the creators wanted to send out (Personally I'm not 100% sure what message it would be) but it was still an enjoyable show to watch, kinda reminded me of scream queens in a way lol
This show was like eating chocolate cake in the middle of a Walmart parking lot at 4 in the morning but damn I would watch it again it’s just so unstable that it works in its own weird way like it’s in its own genre at this point it’s so strange I hav literally never seen anything like this. Maybe gossip girl is like a close fit but even that’s a stretch
I'm not saying I'm offended by this show, but a lot of media is actually offensive. I don't think it's hard to make good entertainment without bigotry.
Funny thing is when I first started watching this series I started on the last episode and through the whole episode I thought it was the first then I realised I just spoilt everything for myself
This show wasn't like 13 Reasons, which is attempting to be serious and dramatic, and was incredibly offensive and tacky. Insatiable is a joke with occasionally the relatable scene and is offensive and tacky, on purpose. "I am not Asian. I am adopted." Dixie herself makes the show incredible.
Such a bizarre show but a really satisfying binge lol. I agree with most of the points made, however, when it comes to that scene where Nonnie says "there's nothing wrong with being gay, for you" it wasn't out of place or weird, it hit me right in my core actually. It's a weird headspace to be in and I know how ridiculous it sounds when you lay it out but man is it common. Acceptance and love for everyone else but yourself. Nonnie was actually my favorite because her story was so similar to mine to the point of being eery.
