I love the idea of having cast members recap the episode and discuss different social issues that were encountered in the episode! Keep it up y'all and I will continue to review as well I LOVE THIS SHOW
Gabriella Imbrah I knew I saw that nigga from somewhere but I just couldn't pin it lmao he need to get them dreads back cause his head shaped like a damn anvil
I'm a man and I love this show. Issa is doing a great job. So many things relatable I this show. Specially if you're a woman. Issa and Tasha fine!!! 😍😍😍
I agree with Dominique you should wait until around 6 months to introduce each other to the family ( only if both people are exclusively dating each other). Because you have some shady men that take multiple women around their family. Then the women think they are in (not knowing about the other women).
This exact scenario just happened a couple of months ago to my cousin's friend. Dude gave her his house key and introduced her to his family. Come to find out she was far from the only one with the key and not the only one the family was being introduced to....triflin smh
ee t Oh yes. One of those shady men is my uncle. He'll even be like come and greet your new aunty and the poor woman will be sitting there just beaming and all excited and nervous like her entire life depends on this meeting and i'm just sitting there just thinking, don't be so happy ma'am, i'll be meeting another aunty next weekend.
Why are there so many comments about condom use???? Do y'all really, in the year 2017, need an HBO show to explain safe sex to you????😳 It's just a show! I get the point, but DAMN! Who's gonna watch this show and say "Hey they use condoms on Insecure, maybe I'll do the same." Just enjoy the show for what it is, entertainment.
Love the show, and Tasha represent a lot women nowadays. She needs companionship, someone to love her. Unfortunately, Lawrence is not ready to move on from Issa. So Tasha need to work on growing as a woman and let life happen. Just like a lot of us women today.
I'm glad they did this. Because honestly I'd rather here the characters do this than some random person on RU-vid giving their 2 cents. Great job on getting in front of it.
I don't understand why the bigger question isn't "why did Lawrence agree to go to the BBQ?" The invite was too early ..obviously.. but seriously.. how weak do U have to be to not be able to get out of that... I mean that shoulda been an easy and honest ass conversation..
eprahs I didn't wanna be the one to say it 🙄🙄🙄. She keeps touching on him and getting upset every time he redirect the conversation to issa. Plus she was being overtly conceited the whole video. Not feeling the actress or character
DisneyStarsTube I wouldn't say all that, I don't think she's a bad person. I just said she's a little like her character, she has a soft spot for men no matter how bad they treat her.
I was seriously waiting for that part. I've seen a lot of comments that said Tasha did nothing wrong but she was hitting on him so bad knowing that he had a girlfriend. I believe she got what was coming to her and I don't feel sorry for Tasha not one bit.
True but she did the right thing when Lawrence plainly stated he has a girlfriend: She fell back. MoF, we didn't even see Tasha again until after Lawrence moved out in the S1 Finale. IMO, the only thing I fault Tasha for was hooking up with a guy who JUST got out of relationship. That's always a recipe for disaster.
They touched on that topic in the 1st discussion (Issa and Jay) because a viewer asked a question about it. From 23:15 on that discussion you'll hear them talking about it.
I NEVERRRRRR was a Tasha, exes are always some what prevalent in all relationships but I was never a rebound. & no Domonique you came up to him and said"you good"- you had plenty of time to be a better hostess.
Cierra Johnson I meant they're just one of many common external factors that can disturb a relationship or something that's growing into one. It's pretty common to deal with exes at some point in new relationships. There's a lot of ppl who still are in contact with their exes for whatever reason. The extent to how much contact they have with their ex should determine whether you want to deal with dating that person or not.
Tasha and Lawrence relationship is the reason why ladies you behave to hold onto the cookie (vajayjay). Tasha is in a rush because she has given up the goods. Now she wants to know where she stands. If you give it to most men to soon they don't value it.
Ms Monalisa But who takes their fuck buddy to the family bbq? Like this man hasn't taken you on one date but you think he is good enough to bring around your family? No man, be selective about who you bring around your family.
Ms Monalisa Her giving up her cookie quick has nothing to do with the fact that she invited a dude she's only sleeping with to meet the family. If you did the same thing without giving up the cookie, the same result is guaranteed to happen.
Her character, Tasha, irritates me. I get the Hustle and Flow and Baby Boy Tarij's character here with that all in Lawrence's face so hopeful so soon. Huh. I appreciate having her here in this discussion to help me separate her from this character. I need Tasha to get ghost. Please develop her character, maybe bring up her past and give her a great guy from her past or something, and let her get hired as an assistant at Lawrence's job or near Issa, and let her be happy and possibly visible maybe even being liked by Issa. I need her to get on with something for herself that's more fitting ASAP.
Alicia Moore I agree get her out of her or develop her character so she's more likable and relatable because she def not the most likable at all on this show.
Tracy C. A guy that respects her completely. A guy that is available emotionally. Lawrence is not. She like all women or anyone who wishes to date deserves someone that can be into them- More fitting.
Yes, Prettychinkeyes, as a Woman, her character as she's portrayed now, makes me uncomfortable her being so open to an emotionally unavailable man and moving so fast. (cringe) We need her to talk with her girlfriends and get on past Lawrence. Matter fact, let her meet a fine available man and walk past Lawrence. But the show is definitely doing what it should- generate feelings and thoughts from its viewers. Be it that we are celebrating, identifying or abhorring the characters, the writers are gettin it done. I love this!
17:35 - 17:43 - Lol, did anyone else catch that when Jay just said 'Issa' when he meant to say Tasha? It seemed like Dominique and Leon were kind of confused when answering the question.
I'm sick and tired of Lawrence playing the victim. I do believe He is intent is not to hurt other people but he honestly does not Take responsibility and thinks that apologising is enough Because 'he's a good guy he is not like other guys He cares'. Okay but you caring about hurting in my feelings while hurting my feelings don't do much for me. you still being a punk so.... In season one he was emotionally cheating with Tasha And still doesn't see a problem with that, And in season two He was doing the same thing to Tasha that he did to Issa Is definitely the kind of person Who doesn't make things happen, things just happen to. I happened to be in the situation, this happens to happen to me. I get that he's in a weird space But he really needs to grow up and realise actions matter.
Listening further to the end, I see how all of these characters really have this awkwardness and odd neediness going on. Particularly the ladies. Tasha awkwardly needs Lawrence and as mentioned, by the actor playing Eddie says, Issa needed the sex to happen. Question is why such great need as opposed to allowing things to flow....hmmm. The awkwardness should be a sign that this isn't it. or a different approach needs to be taken. Also, how did Issa feel so awkward with the first guy and take that as a sign to not go thru with it, but was able to get thru the oddness with Eddie. Had the need increased so badly by then? Huh. Either way, I'm loving the show. I'm loving the responses and attention the show's getting. I'd love to be a writer on the show if there's an opportunity. I have been a fan of Issa sense reading about her show in an Essence Magazine back in 2011 or 12. So very proud of her. Continued success to all of you guys. I'm watching and excited about Sunday nights!
I think Lawrence took a hit with what Tasha said but I think he saw a way out. Now he can go screw the girls at the party with a clear conscious. He will deal with Tasha later
This actress wants him in real life. No woman touches on a mans knee that much that she doesn't find attractive. Ya'll see she didn't touch ol' dude with "the head" once!
I don't think they were in a relationship.....she was a f*ck buddy to Lawrence...she wanted more, but he didn't even try to take her out until she said something. I feel bad for Tasha, but she was trying to make it into something it obviously was not. And Lawrence was using her as a balm for his wounds.
She back peddles a lot when she talks. I appreciate her chatacter on the show much better then her personal thoughts anf opinions. She also toots her own horn a lot.
kiki capree I found that to be extremely annoying. It made me stop watching. She wants to come off way too cool. Love the show. Love how they've written her character. Very relatable
