I'm from the Caribbean T&T. This brought tears to my eyes to see what's going on in the US. We praise God for giving our government the insight to handle this, it could have been worst for us. We are keeping you USA and other nations in prayer, we know the power of prayers can reach any target. God has spared us from the ravages but our fellowmen of different countries around the world, we are keeping you in prayers especially asking God to give wisdom to the heads of all other nations, have faith other nations are praying with you and for you. 🙏

@Simply Simplicity Amen, yes we are focus all over especially USA. when I say T&T, I mean all religions are crying out to the heavenly father. When the year has started many full gospel church went into prayer and fasting, first fruit offering. Thank God there was full support all over, so in this pandemic there is a continuance. Also our Prime Minster called all religions for a day of prayer in the nation, praying not only for our country but ever nation. We are there with you'll. If we all respect God, then we can respect those in charge and those in charge show honour unto God in Jesus name we shall have a resounding victory. We specially cover the front liners under the blood of Jesus, so many front liners much of their lives had been lost if people had obey and show much appreciation and support, respecting the front liners when they ask people to stay home. They sacrifice and sacrificed their lives and that of their families and homes to answer the call to duty, they shall be rewarded by God, taking account of everything. God is still in the saving business and this too shall pass.

Wilson Yuen Well, they would but they can’t afford to package and ship it to food banks. Then they would get in trouble if they said “come get it, it’s free” because of the social distancing that could not be enforced. Don’t blame the farmers please.
The Spirit of the volunteers was so humble and cheerful in such a horrible time there are so many things to complain about but when I see the heroic courage of these volunteers ...I see God and his grace most of all his unconditional love ....God bless everyone xoxo

By Faith Walking I'm going to tell you an absolutely true story.....when I came to the elderly/disabled apartment complex in NC where I live now, there seemed to be a great need of the other tenants for food. I would go and sign up for the Church's that I qualified with to get food, I'd bring it back and put it in a central place ( the tv room) where these people that I thought needed it could access it. A little back history, I was the one who got out of the house at 5:30am, took MY van, and gave MY money as a helping donation every week to these church food banks. I would tell some of the people that would come and take the food off the table that I would gladly take them with me so they could get their own food boxes, NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON COULD BE BOTHERED TO USE THEIR TIME IN THIS MANNER, and I wasn't even expecting them to chip in for gas, the food bank was quite a distance away from where we lived, or to donate any money to the church, that was between them and God, all they had to do was get up early and take a ride, did I mention that I never used any of the food for myself, it always went on the tables to be given out. Yes, they could not be bothered...... Then come to find out, just as quickly as I put the food on the tables there were a couple of people that would pick through and take every good thing for themselves and did not care about the others, and these were people that did NOT NEED IT, there was one person, named Claudette ( yes, I'm saying her name, because she deserves it) who would come right behind me and was caught several times loading everything I just put there for the people who need it, into the trunk of her car, and the "funny" thing was she also went to the same food bank and got the same food items as me, but would never share with anyone. What she did with it from the trunk of her car I have no idea. I even got a local food bank to come to our apartment complex and hand out bags of food to the people, several needed it, but many didn't, but yet all were there with their hands out taking. I kept up with the food for about two years and then it got too much for me, when I would see the absolute greed and selfishness of these same people I was trying to help, but they cared nothing for nobody but themselves, I finally stopped. My sister would say, " but, yeah Deb, you're helping the one or two that really needs it" I thought about that, it kept me doing it for a little longer, but finally had to stop before I beat one of those brainless greedy people to death. I know this is long, and there's much more to the story, but my point is...finally, lol.....of those people lined up for food, I would guarantee that only 5-10% actually need it, the rest are just greedy, selfish assholes, out to take whatever they can.... The rose colored glasses have been taken off my eyes ..... No longer will I assume people are mostly good.....

The one here where I live does donate. I'm one of 2 food pantry client volunteers who get some of the donations and distribute them to others in our area.
I help at a church Food Pantry in Illinois and most of our meat comes from Walmart the volunteers pick it up three times a week and freeze it we also get a lot of bread baked goods and produce from Walmart.
For a first time user of the food bank I was in tears knowing I could eat when I choose rent over eating. I went 3 days without eating, I literally would have hugged every single volunteer if it wasn't for COVID. To anyone that can donate or volunteer, just know how much it means to people
Christ is a Black Man with Woolly hair, (so you have been reading the book of Revelations), the middle class can no longer survive wrapped in the image of the American Dream when last month 1/3 of the country could not afford to pay their rent/mortgage, food banks feeding tens of thousands are running out of food, and with small businesses the spine, heart, and guts of the US economy on life support we are in the foreplay of a depression. They will have to learn there is such a thing as survival skills in being poor.
I've been seeing people driving Mercedes Benz and other high end vehicles at food drives. Hopefully from this experience, people learn to save money. Buy a car cash and pay off mortgage asap.
Chris No, I too have seen those images of expensive cars, new/er cars and yet they don't have food. Save something, anything and live within and even below one's means. It is amazing, AMAZING, how many people in America have land and yet grow nothing they can eat. This will change.

As of 6:02pm on 4/24/2020 it is a total of 42 people. All I can say is that these people will probably never know what it is like to rely upon the goodness from total strangers in order to not be hungry.
because people believe in personal choices. if you worked, invested, saved, did all the right things you would not be in this mess of having to go to food lines, get assistance etc. there is no denying there are freeloaders out there taking advantage of this.
Even if your very poor you can put up a canned good or small bag of rice or beans from the dollar store each week, after awhile you’ll have a nice back up pantry , nothing fancy just food for hard times, each month rotate out a few older items and replace. Get at least a 3 month supply. Everyone will get thru this with some help but let’s do things different from now on!
Laura Gorski That’s what I said. People need to have some foresight about putting food, money, and other necessities away for lean times. Exactly, buy some canned goods from Dollar Tree, Dollar General, or Family Dollar. They have name brands and don’t cost a lot like big box stores. There is peanut butter, rice, beans, tuna, chicken in cans, muffin mix, canned veggies etc. Buy 10 for 10. when you see stuff on sale. Preparation beats these incredibly long lines. But God bless these people. Many lost their income as soon as the lock down started. There is no shame in having your job be unavailable because of a pandemic. Hopefully everyone will learn a lesson and start putting food up when they can.

I can guarantee you that there are some selfish people who are taking this food when they don't need to and I can guarantee you because they're probably the same ones he took all the toilet paper if you don't need to take this food don't take it save it for the family to have absolutely no food at all don't be selfish what would Jesus do
greedy people can and will take more for themselves. they are actually better at it too because of their experience and natural skill of hoarding. survival of the most brutal.
I have a years worth of toilet paper. But I've had that much for years. I do share if friends need any. Same with Lysol, or store brand. I like to make up small "kits" and leave them at several homes here where I live.
Man growing up I used to eat mayo sandwiches and fried cornbread with ketchup and fried flour batter I never had it easy I been cooking like this since I was12 and no one helped only talked about how poor we was and I see people rideing around in 60 thousand dollar vehicles and I brought and paid for my 96 model in 08 and still to this day drive it people are to wasteful
almost everybody in the video was overweight it doesn't mean they're not hungry From what you wrote you clearly had a malnourished upbringing for many it'll get you by but for none are they able to thrive it isn't until you get sufficient vitamins minerals and calories are you able to maximize your body's abilities both physically and mentally.
i really dont understand western world, they have cars, houses, furniture and everything is shining but there is no food.........why ?dont they keep some money for rainy days........its been only a month or so......and people are out of food and money. i am sry if i am wrong.

@@preityb200 a lot of people don't know how to live within their means so they live paycheck to paycheck and purchase too many things they don't actually need or can afford such as bigger houses, more than one car, several television sets or the latest expensive electronic gadgets and so on... so to create a lot of debt with very little savings for a real emergency 😒 that's the Murican way..don't think about tomorrow. just put it on credit card. buy now, pay later.
Yet in Victoria Australia the government delivers to the home 2 weeks food at a time for those who need help with getting food. It is delivered directly to reduce need to go out and spread the virus. This is in addition to the welfare payments of at least $2300 per month available nationwide.
That’s good. In the US, we get $2400 per couple and $500 for each kid. So, if you have 3 kids, that’s an additional $1500, which comes to a total of $3,700, and yet it is not enough for some families that are spending beyond their means. Americans are picky with food, so they won’t eat any foods delivered to their homes by the government. They prefer to get and stock up on what they want from groceries and online stores.
@Osaka Weekly It is a mixture of local charities, food banks and local supermarkets. The cost is covered by the government. However the amount needed was far far lower than was planned for as the amount of expected cases was well below original estimates. It was funded to provide 1 million food parcels with enough food to cover 2 weeks in isolation. Less than 10000 food parcels were distributed so due to lower demand.

These past two months have been rough. Never had to ask for help before. But recently had to file for unemployment and food stamps. I came from a poor family and when i became independent i wanted to make it on my own. But times are very hard and i know that someone somewhere has it worse then i do. Thats why i strive to stay positive
Thank God for food banks. They've always been there to help folks out so they don't go hungry or have to choose between food or medicine. I've used them in the past to supplement what I have so I can then afford other needed things. I still have canned veggies, rice & beans from last fall that are still good. I'm grateful for it. I had enough to make myself a Easter Thanksgiving meal & take a meal to my neighbors too. But the needs now are so great that I probably won't be going back for quite awhile. I can afford some food so I will simply eat that & help where I can. Usually there's more than enough but for now I'll wait for others to go first. Don't forget that those who go to the food bank aren't the only ones helped. Oftentimes they will bring back the extra for their neighbors & family. I've done so in the past & recently had some brought to me as well. Which I will in turn share with an elderly friend too.
This is USA. We're lucky to live in this country. Other places around the world are even worst. We're thank you for the Food-Bank and all the organizations who are involved with this service. We thanks all the HEROES in the front-line, at the back-end, at other corners, and at any levels.
This all makes u think twice about what u need more and what will be bought less as traffic slowly shops and get needs over wants more now. guessing luxuries or stuff gonna be bought less to make sure needs are paid first over wants. sometimes u think u got bad till u see traffic wait in long lines just to get food to last u a week or more.
God bless everybody out there in need and the ones who make it possible to give out all this food for the people in need. I live in New York and yes we feel your pain specially when there are kids to feed. We'll ge they this. My heart is weeping watching all this. 😔
Gratitude is always a good thing. But what you're saying is also proportional. Many people in third-world countries are lactose-intolerant, so milk and butter are unnecessary luxuries for them... I I agree with you in terms of people who can afford those things and more in the U.S. without living paycheck to paycheck, but for anyone else, it can be hard to appreciate anything when your most basic needs, including being treated with dignity, aren't being met and the energy is diverted to worrying instead of gratitude. Poverty mindset is a complicated and unfortunate thing that many people have to live with.
I'm from a 3rd world country. And while it's true that deprivation is relative, suffering is universal. I can't belittle the suffering of people as this experience is their truth. I am a mother myself and I can't imagine the helplessness and fear of the women in the video who worry that their kids might not have anything to eat soon. Rich country or not, I hope and pray things will get better for them and for my country as well soon.
As a Canadian, seeing people queuing up at a food bank by car is unimaginable. Here too there is a lot of poverty. But the people who have to use these last resort services don't have a car!
Ya, I know, I can't believe these well to do people are lining up for food..if you can afford expensive car insurance, gas, maintenance, and car payments, you can definitely afford food.Stop taking from those who can't.
Yes very embarrassing that you can’t fed your children. I was in a bad place many years ago. The Mercy of God had a friend thats a nurse help fed me and my two boys. Most boys can eat I know my could years ago. This virus has so many people in desperate need. I Thank God for people who help feed them the hungry. Now I’m in a better place I’ve to give back to people. It’s no if and but about it. God Heal Our Land and Bless the World!!!!
People need to start growing some food if they have some land to plant on, in hard times you can grow potatoes from the peels it's not as good as planting a whole potato but it will grow, beans tomatoes cucumbers anyone can grow food. Pressure can for winter. I canned 4 dozen quarts and five dozen pints of green beans from a 12 ft row in one season
