About the Wildflower property: 551 East Palmetto Park Road
The City of Boca Raton purchased the 2.3-acre parcel of land located at 551 East Palmetto Park Road in December 2009. The park area fronts the Intracoastal Waterway to the east and Palmetto Park Road and the Lucas Douglas Bridge over the Intracoastal to the south. The property was formerly the site of a restaurant known as the Wildflower and is generally referred to by the community as the Wildflower Property.
Silver Palm Park is well known to the City's boating community. The 3.7-acre waterfront park includes two active boat launch ramps that provide direct access to Lake Boca Raton, the Inlet and the Atlantic Ocean. The park is also popular with local fisherman and has a seawall with a fish cleaning area, boat docks and seating. There are restrooms on site and a few picnic grills and tables.
The park will have new, additional parking, a new restroom location, promenade seating and additional park amenities that may include picnic areas, exercise stations and walking pathways.
