I literally wanna buy something explore Calgary for a year or so, cause Toronto is stupidly priced. That apartment in Toronto would go for 800k easy. I just don't wanna pay ridiculously high maintenance fees

Foreign buyers can purchase real estate in Canada - however - you won't be able to qualify for a home loan (mortgage) unless you're a resident, or qualify as a temporary resident immigrating to Canada with local employment.
