0h, not paranoid, just fascinated by the construction of it. The antenna / inductive loop was bigger than I expected. And I never had an opportunity to cut one open before, so that was neat as well.
I wonder if the bit under the mag strip actually pulls data from the chip for an auxiliary technology to the magstrip like extra auth. Prolly not but I know an nfc antenna is pretty small typically so it's unlikely that all the extra straight wiring is an antenna imo
@@NSA-adminno the magnet strip is independent data wise the filament is for contactless the bit underneath the magnetic strip is used to generate a tiny tiny current to allow the rest of the circuit to function if you remove the magnetic strip your contactless will stop working
@@intocoasters Its the language you use. You said you were cutting up a credit card, (which people do, thats normal) but then you said _it_ _delaminated_ which implies that it self delaminated. As if you were cutting away and, all of a sudden, the card's composite integrity just randomly failed and the printed circuit just fell out into your hand and that you had no idea that could ever happen.
