I live in Munich and I've always been curious about the Deutsche Eiche. For someone as conscious of their body as I am, these places are the definition of hell, I don't think I'll ever be able to go to any gay sauna, so thanks for the tour 🙌
I've stayed at the hotel twice and like you, not the typical model of a hot guy, was treated well both times and had many interesting conversations with other patrons. While Germans tend to be very handsome, they are generally accepting of body types. I never felt out of place. Would go again given the chance.
Hats off to those who are in charge of cleaning this place. It looks very clean, welcoming and endless amounts of potential fun. Bathhouses look fun, but I would be so shy. Impressive though.
Wow the guide is really intelligent and passionate about this place. It’s not just another place for just sex and fun. But an actual place with lot of History and planning . Almost felt like a tour of monument :) And also Great job Rob
In Britain almost all the gay saunas have closed down. Outside London, the only people who go are old, and nothing ever happens. I used to go but stopped about twenty years ago. This sauna looks amazing but the test is whether anyone actually goes.
I was slightly surprised as a woman to see this pop up…but the algorithm apparently has me taped because I watched to the end. Great tour of a fascinating venue by two impressively bilingual Germans. If I was a gay man, I’d be booking in…😊
I have been to different bathhouses in San Francisco and other cities in California. This bathhouse seem much larger than the ones that I have been to. This bathhouse also seem like it is also use for social gathering, not just for sex. This bathhouse also appeared much cleaner than the ones that I have been to. The bathhouses that I have been to usually played loud music and some have a DJ playing music, so I dont think I can sleep overnight if there are loud music, but some people don't mind it. I dont' know if this bathhouse have strict regulations regarding drugs use, but the bathhouses that I have been to have many people who are drunk or on drugs, especially if they just left the nightclubs and to straight to the bathhouse. Usually bathhouses are located in a remote dark areas away from the busy streets. This bathhouse appear to locate in a busy areas with a lot of apartments in the surrounding area. I don't know if closeted married bisexual men will feel comfortable going to a bathhouse near a busy areas where they can be spotted by someone they know. A lot of bisexual men or closeted gay men usually go to bathhouses to find sex. Unfortunately, some bathhouses in California shut down permanently after the pandemic due to strict regulations and low attendance.
As a native San Franciscan who lived in Munich there is no comparison. In quality, size, and especially hygiene. Much better in every facet, and hotter guys in Munich of course! No loud Music in Munich. Truly relaxing

I’ve lived all over Germany but never explored München. Thanks for the tour! By the way, in similar RU-vid tours, I have seen short interviews about the management and employees. Not really what people are focused on, but I think it makes things a bit less transactional. The tourguide sounded like an American but nowadays, it’s hard to pinpoint a lot of people just by their accents. Thanks again!

I've been there and stayed at the hotel (the real hotel part, not the by the night rooms in the sauna) !! I'm excited to watch. It was SO empty on my visits. One night was me and an old man eating soup. The hotel is very cool and its free entry if you stay at the hotel.You certainly can walk around lots. Its very dark in the cruising areas. Nice video, I learned so much more about where I stayed. Why ask him about drugs? Of course he will say no . lol

There are some gay saunas in Germany that are friendly, large and clean - so not at all comparable to some of the filthy places in Spain or the USA. It's also no problem at all to admit to going to such a sauna, it's actually part of the usual program if you want to relax at the weekend, for example. I recommend the Deutsche Eiche, the Boiler in Berlin and the Pluto in Essen, which I consider to be the most beautiful gay sauna of all.

Now that's a bathhouse. It craps all over the one's I've been to here in Australia. I think one of the most elaborate sauna's I've ever been to was Ken's @ Kensington (Sydney) which closed several years ago now. One of the interesting parts of Ken's was how they had a pool on the lower level and directly above it was a solid glass brick ceiling which you could see through from both above and below. So it was another interesting way to get a good perv on the guys above from the pool area. Every time I went there the pool was never used though, yet you could still see through the glass ceiling. When they closed the next best in terms of elaborate design was 357 (although they moved in recent months to where Bodyline sauna use to be). Yet I seem to gravitate toward Sydney Sauna which I find more friendly in terms of clientelle.
It's fascinating to hear about your experiences at the various saunas in Sydney! Ken's sounds like it had some unique features. The glass brick ceiling idea is definitely intriguing!

WAY impressive!!! May I make a suggestion to your staff: "Masseur" is a male who gives massages. "Masseuse" is a female who gives massages. Like in the US, you often say "masseuse" to refer to a male, which doesn't work with the feminine ending of the word. But I hate to quibble when you have such a spacious and elegant facility.
Amazing environment really very clean very beautiful the pool I loved the large space of the rooms, I want to visit this incredible place, if I were living nearby I would go every day ...❤

VERY IMPRESSIVE! I'm not really a gay sauna goer, but this was a beautiful gay sauna (bath house in America). Obviously a lot of work has been put into this business and it looks successful. Why else would they be expanding. Hello from Phoenix!

I always loved Deutsche Eiche when I traveled to Munich on business…eventually I just started staying at the hotel, in fact, which is very decent with a good restaurant. It looks much bigger now, from this video, and I’m not sure if that’s good. 🤷🏼♂ (Also to the tour guide: “masseuse” is female, “masseur” is male. You might scare away some potential customers if you say “masseuse!” 😂😂)
Ich war noch nie in einer Schwulensauna und meine Münchner Freunde von damals (böse Zungen würden Klemmschwestern rufen) haben mich davor auch abgeraten. OK, zu der Zeit war ich auch um die 20 Jahre alt. Wer weiß, ob ich die Erfahrung mal sammeln werde oder nicht. Meine Bärenstatur scheut sich jedoch hinzugehen, da selbst online fast nur Absagen reinflöten. Da will ich mir das nicht auch noch real geben. :-D

The movie poster of Querelle was actually the very first gay movie I ever watched. Wow!!! I was about 21-22 at the time. Brought back some memories seeing that poster. I thought it was a splendid movie and would love to see it again.
Estuve 3 veces en esta de maravilla de sauna muy grande que es super limpia funciona siempre todo, gente guapa y siempre encontras alguien para divertirse, no hay comparaciones con la sauna que tenemos en España donde son muy pequeña y la las mayoria sucias y fuman y gente colocada! pero aca en España los chicos son mas facil de conocer esto lo debo decir.. como las sauna italianas que son una cosa k no se puede descrivir...casi igual que de España, ademas te hacen pagar una tajeta o no te dejan entrar en todos los locales gay italianos a parte el precio de la sauna! un saludos a todos a los chicos de esta sauna...

Anscheinend wird ziemlich viel Geld aus der Sauna gezogen. Allein den Eintritt auf 5 Stunden zu limitieren, und danach extra Geld zu verlangen, ist im Vergleich zu anderen Saunen in Köln, Hamburg, Berlin, etc. eher „ungewöhnlich“.
Moin und danke für dein Feedback! Preise und Zeiten Variieren aber eigentlich ist es gängige Praxis, dass man nach einer "Grundzeit" drauf zahlt. Auch in Berlin, Köln und Hamburg. Schöne Grüße
