This video could have been so informative if the presenter took her job seriously. We don't know the cost implications involved, the type of boards used for the interiors, the wiring system etc because the presenter took her time showing is spoons in the kitchen drawer. Spent unnecessarily too much time in the bathroom showing us a harpic detergent. I thought she wanted to drink it. She can do better. Meanwhile, share the contacts of the fundi who did the interior
my Kenyan people you never disappoint, this house is well constructed and a motivation for all, i hope the owner is proud of what they did, keep it up, as for Cynthia Aton, i wish you a very prosperous 2024, may your channel grow abundantly.
In Architecture, we were taught to design the spaces and specify to build with locally available materials. The infatuation with stones/ mawe houses is actually part of the colonial/ inferiority complexes among many other prejudices that hold back our community
How is mabati a locally available material? It has to be manufactured elsewhere and assembled on site. I'm also an architecture student and while I respect her choice of materials, mabati are neither locally sourced nor sustainable. Don't spread misinformation. Traditionally we built with wooden poles and mud with thatch roofs. Europeans actually introduced iron sheets which were manufactured in factories. Please acquaint yourself with the right info
I have found your channel today as i was searching for information on starting a retail shop and I can attest that you are an inspiration. Such a beautiful house made of mabati, it's so wonderful depicting how much creativity our God has endowed on us as humans. The owner is so excellent
Thank you very much for your kind comments. I am glad you find inspiration here. If that should be the only reason I should keep doing this ..then I will. My heart is so full. Welcome home.
This is really well put together shack house(that’s what we call corrugated sheet houses in South Africa). I’m impressed how you’ve elevated it inside. You have great taste …thanks for sharing your home with us online
The walls in the bathroom and kitchen were made from brick. Kindly keep it here because the next edition will cover all these questions. Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much. Birds of a feather! Congratulations on your home. Invite me someday so we can feature your house too. You can reach me at atoncy80@gmail.com. Thank you for being here.
Such an excellent job done here. Even though mine isn't a mabagi one. Those with negative energy, yawa, be courteous, this is her channel, let her be a true her and not a photocopy of others.
Wow... very beautiful. Very happy that Kenyans we are finally giving up on the construction wakora with their bloated prices, zero differentiation on design and style, ridiculous never ending projects.....way to go
Great!! This is so so amazing!! I like the finishing and everything about the house. But wouldn't it be cheaper constructing using bricks and later plaster, which is stronger and permanent that using Mabati and Plywood which I think is more costly?
Wow wow wow the home owners has taken time to plan out this home very well I love it I have a question that just came to mind how is mail delivered I’ve noticed that I don’t ever see a mail box please educate me I know how mail is in my country US 🇺🇸but I’m not sure how it works in Kenya 🇰🇪 ❤
@@sylviamaripet5089 Thanks for appreciation. The designer is the owner of the house too. Find him on 0722 572727 Mr Seda. He will advise you as appropriate. Call me someday to feature your home too!
Thank you for this eye opener, its amazing.now please do a follow-up of how the process goes into constructing such a house ju shower kwa nyumba yamabati sjaijua inaingia aje.walls za bafu zmeundwa na board ama mawe coz ya unye unyevu itaezaaribu board walling
The single wall lining the kitchen and bathroom areas are made using bricks all the way up, due to the fact that these are areas that come into contact with water all the time.
Kindly check out the follow up video on this channel, that I have done about the same house. The owner talks about these questions and much more. Thanks for watching
