first few seconds and I already had to stop and appreciate because this house's layout is exactly what my dreams are made of. and the interior design is just *chef's kiss*
modern yet classic. private but inviting. warm and spacious. perfect for the young and old. and the color palette is so clean without looking dull. gorgeousness all around
The houses are always beautiful, but some of the comments are a distraction. “They did it with a sense of materiality.” C’mon folks. The narration is more gobbledygook than anything.
Architects use the gobbledygook to improve their income potentiality. In the last vid posted the architect owner actually used materials instead of materiality and I almost fell out of my chair. The last time I heard an architect say materials was in 89 or so when Phillip Johnson said they used rich materials to make a simple project more architectural.
as an interior designer, we use language to romanticize the vision. [brown or coffee/espresso/java/chocolate] it's all about presentation. just like the videography adds to the experience, language does as well.
@@lizasoliman723 if some called a brown wall chocolate I would become immediately suspicious of grandiosity. You can call it anything you want but marble look tile is still only just clay, "chocolate" is just a haughty word for brown, gold plated anything is just pot iron under it. No one is getting fooled.
There is simplicity in the design but nothing simple - gorgeous curves, skylights, details and very muted but sophisticated colors. I would've loved to see a bit more landscaping - especially against the wall where the master bedroom is situated.
I want this house. Thankyou for sharing. I just LOVE this house, the Only thing….the garden….i think I saw gums/eucalyptus trees planted?? They would have to go…..the leaves will drive you nuts….and right next to the pool! Also, I think the vanity cabinets in the master bath would have looked better in wood. Would have given a bit more warmth and ‘nature’ to the bathroom making it a bit more serene and ‘spa’ like. The light over the kitchen island is simply stunning!
What I like in this house is it's structure with big sheltered outdoor space and the beautiful kitchen area but other than those aspects this house looks a bit sterile and I'm normally not someone to call modern builds sterile.. there is just no sense of who the people in the house are given that a family lives there and this is not (?) an ad for selling it I find it strange..
Beautiful house. I want to build something like this in India when i retire, Building something like this seems impossible if you dont own a multimillion dollar business
Lots of fancy words for a very average house and design. The „all white“ and „neutral palette“ don’t really help. Its cold, generic and very contrary to what mid century actually was. It is NOT enough to copy the proportions and the measurements and call it mid century!
