This week, we tour a 3-storey Inter-Terrace home at Frankel Estate.
The homeowners are a family of 4 and have opted to rebuild their home from the ground up. Inspired by Danish Scandinavian design, the home exudes a sense of tranquility and lightness.
Starting with a step-up into the porch, we observe a dry scaped gridded pattern with large granite slabs and gray pebble infills.
Overhead, a Scandinavian light wood shelter provides shelter from the elements. The architects have also incorporated plant racks at the far end with cutaway skylights above.
Stepping inside, large gray format tiles make up the first floor, which has been mostly laid bare to accommodate ballet classes.
Glass bifold doors separate the entertainment area from the utility yard, which houses a washer/dryer, and a standing bicycle rack.
Further back lies an air well. Loose stone pieces, irregular darker stone steps, a tree and a textured feature wall make up the space.
Adjacent, a guest bedroom welcomes visitors with its open concept design. It enters through the guest bath, with features flushed to either end.
The rest area of the bedroom has been designed with future proofing in mind.
Finally, adjustable aluminum fins front the stair area. It invites ventilation and light into the home.
The dining area is on the second floor. It features a six-seater dining set, pendant lights, and an oriental picture that complements the aesthetic.
Back into the home, a powder room finished with three shades of Kit Kat wall tiles stands between the study and dining area.
The study is separated from the living areas by glass bifold doors, and features modular furniture that can be changed over time.
Heading upstairs, we first check out the children's bedroom. It features full-length glass windows with oak veneer trimmings, ample wardrobe space, and two single beds.
The ensuite bath - accessible through massive bifold wooden doors, impresses with large format marble lookalike tiles and a skylight that bathes the space in natural light.
Finally, the master bedroom boasts a long and linear master bath at its entrance. The matte gray finish and full-length windows exudes a rugged elegance.
The main bedroom offers abundant wardrobe space, a queen-sized bed positioned to capture scenic views, and a study nook carved in the corner.

One of the most soothing designs I have seen in a while. The spaces are used optimally while also allowing a lot of natural light and air. Dreamy !!

This is the most authentic Danish home you have featured. Can i suggest next time to introduce the furniture too since they are authentic?

@@StackedHomes On the contrary, I'm sure your boss knows the name of the items. Also, do put in some of the items you are selling in stacked stores. Finally, this is the most mid modern house you have covered in your entire channel with most of the items being authentic mid century. So it's a pity you are not introducing the mid century items or what make this home mid century.

The kids should have their own room once they grow up, although both daughhters will leave their parents once they got married. Too much transparent glasses make it difficult to maintain and lost a sense of security/privacy. A bit weird to shift the kitchen and living room to second floor. The entire first storey doesn't feel so welcoming / too empty. Lastly, the Chinese fengshui things don't really apply to this unit...just my own opinion.
@kirsten8693
@kirsten8693 10 месяцев назад
I noticed that too, zero feng shui considerations. Chi definitely not flowing well in this home. Looks much smaller than 3500sq ft to me, a lot of wasted space. The bomb shelter cracked me up, kept rewinding to see if I heard correctly. Mentioned so nonchalant, like everyone has one. I guess it's not a concern in the U.S. Wonder what country this is to have such instability. The only bit of color allowed to the children is in their tiny cubicles in the corner of a cell. Just cold, and a reminder there's no accounting for taste. To each their own though, certainly.

I like that the house has a lot of light and the ventilation, but for a 1 million house I don't expect to see an unsightly washing machine from the front door.

The house is beautifully designed, but such a big house and the kids have to share a room, and bedroom on upper floors looks so cramped. There has to be better ways to design the rooms. The bedrooms ruined it for me.

Thank you for the video, I found out that investing is not for everybody, you just need a strong stomach too see your portfolio go down. It might be wiser for a novice to start with copy trading investing, but it is not easy. To invest in growth stocks it is another level, definitely you need to know what are you doing.

No surprise, plain Jane but practical house. No domestic helper room? Usually 2 single bed for 2 people sharing a room is due to space constraint which is not in this case. So may be that is the domestic helpers' room.
