I am waiting on adding this to my A400IPU pump and was wondering what ya meant by saying " We do not recommend using this strainer as your primary Filtration? I will be using this pump right after my sump returning the water 25 feet high to my 500 gallon tank upstairs. is this this considered my primary Filtration where I am returning the water from my sump back to the display tank? Thanks
The strainer is thought of as "last line of defense" for the pump and the last protection for things (or animals) being sucked in - there should be a filtration in front of the pump matching the field of use. :)
