I LOVE this style. I have an older Italian friend with the same gift for curating an eclectic but beautiful space that miraculously looks intentional instead of hoarder is. I wish I had that gift.

Everyone should have the opportunity to own a space and do whatever they like to them and feel at home, comfortable. That’s my dream to everyone, including me.

This is right up my street & i enjoyed the video! My taste is bo ho Deco too which spells interest & COLOUR! I'm in the UK right now & I literally buy everything for my home from charity shops (The charity shops over here are simply AMAZING!!) My father's Maltese & the family is from Gzira..& my grandparents lived in one of those little terraced houses (not really fit for purpose inside but pleased to know that the traditional exterior has now got to be left intact) apparently both Gzira & Testaferrata street were designed by an Italian count back in the day! & when I was growing up in Gzira back in the 60s there were lots of British service family's living in newly built apartment blocks..it was upper working class & the vibe with the mix of Maltese & English was just lovely!! My father built the cream apartment block on the corner of Gzira road/stadium street to rent to the service family's who were clean & respectful but than times changed & gone were these lovely family's to be replaced by young Arab men who were neither of these things & heavily into prostitutes & my father had one of 2 options...rent to Maltese family's for 2 Lira a week (or was it one!) Or rent to these young Arabs & he decided very reluctantly that it had to be the second choice as he still had to make a living! They left the flats in a disgusting mess!! The government rented the other apartments in Gzira to the lower working classes & Gzira became known as a trouble spot & a once respectable little town went down the toilet. But now we are coming back up again as obviously sliema is no longer big enough & the wealth is creeping down to Gzira!! (Although i dont agree with that hideous high rise..its not in keeping at all!) When I get back in May I'll be intrigued to see what they've done with the yacht marina & if they've started on smartening up the park😁 I can see the developers going into Testaferrata street & into Msida too!!

As an interior designer in Israel I am in love with everything you have curated : those pink chairs are absolutely epic, all your lamps are fantastic ,the sofa you were sitting on is delicious and those tiles are to die for. Watching this for a second time. Noting how your dog is in heaven being scratched in just the right way. The placement of your beautiful acquisitions, the layering of shape and colour is a wonderful antidote to the woefully und citing grey everywhere of modern homes. Especially those in Australia where folk are often like sheep and are afraid to express their love of interesting items.

Oh he oversaw a wonderful renovation, wow! And I love the mood of his beautifully curated home. It feels intelligent, fun, warm and full of a really lively curiosity. Thank you so much for sharing this one with us here. PS= He has the most wonderfully warm, intensely charismatic and relaxed personality. I just want to hang out with him! I feel like I know this man because my interests are also in tile artwork and using thrifted objects in my home. The light fixtures are beautiful and work well together. I have to hold back with hanging things on my walls because my husband likes things more simple but little by little I will add things. I am so impressed with the fact that he removed and reused the existing tile and the patchwork floor is so enjoyable.

Wow, I adore this space! So many wonderful treasures. I loved those old signs for the market and the jewellers, and was particularly taken with the collection of green vases perched on top of one of their shelves.
