Nunez holdup play was vital for our first goal. He seems to be involved in everything, from defense to offense. I’m glad my feelings about him never changed.

5 games ago, none of us believed we had the squad depth to challenge for the title. Those 2 matches with 10 men+ having to play without our captains has really given the entire fanbase the belief. Feels nice to see subs coming in and not fearing that we might loose the match.

The game itself was good we dominated large parts of play. Definitely 2nd best when Salah scored the penalty. Conceding just before half time wasn’t ideal. Better than going in 0-1 I guess! The Nunez goal was a thing of beauty 😊 Antonio missing his goal just before Salah scored was karma biting him in the rear. 😂😂

Allison, Robbo, VVD, Matip, Gomez, Szobo, MacAllister, Trent, Diaz, Nunez, Salah This is my preferred starting lineup for most league games. Matip over Konate because his ball playing ability, positional sense, anticipation and composure is top notch - Konate has his whole career ahead anyway. Gomez over Trent RB because he too is comfortable on the ball and I love his defensive capabilities - his ridiculous pace is a bonus - use him like Kyle Walker. With Gomez RB and Trent RCM doubling up to help no team will see our right side as a weakness and target it anymore! Gomez also has good crosses and better at defending crosses - won't get bullied at the back post like Trent does. We could also switch to three man CB with Trent at RWB in game where required temporarily as it is good to have different options. Szobo Mac Trent would just create nonstop with those monsters up front.

Joe Gomez also had a really belter of a game, he was solid defensively, rarely out of position, and had really good runs to destroy opponent's lines holding the ball. If he can be safe from injuries for some time, this would be as good as a solid recruit for Liverpool !

“WOW!” What a peach of a goal by Darwin Nunez…. No control or touch first, just turned & hit the ball on the Volley making it look so easy…fairdoos what a perfect masterclass goal by our new wearing number 9! Pure Quality!!! He’s already had a fantastic start to the season scoring multiple goals, let’s just hope he keeps this in form play up & carry on scoring & assisting to keep our feet firmly on City’s throats! LOL. We’re only 2 points behind City in 2nd place, I know its early days yet BUT i’m just so glad we’ve returned to the top of the table putting the pressure back on Man City again where we belong! Last season was a horrific season which we all need to forget about which with the players it does seem that way as we’ve hit the ground running so far with 5 Wins & 1 Draw with no Losses! Lets just hope it stays this way!🙏 As 1 thing which worries me is a few games we’ve had to come from behind after conceding first. Now this is happening quite a bit which does actually scare me a little bit, as altho we have equalised & then went on to Win everytime - these results have come against lesser sides (No disrespect intended here) But falling behind against the likes of Man City & even Arsenal especially at there ground’s with there fans behind them, could work out completely & entirely different! U could see with teams like them, there confidence just completely sky rocketing & them going on to bang in more goals!😬l’m not trying to jinx us in anyway - touch wood!(& I actually DID just knock my wooden door LOL) I just think to prevent this, in training we need to work on tightening up our defence properly, we need no gaps were strikers can make runs in from behind, we need much tighter marking - player to player, I love Trent to bits BUT we have to be honest here the goal conceded against Newcastle was completely his fault an his fault alone! It could have easily been prevented tho, more care & paying attention is totally needed some of these goals we’ve conceded could have easily been prevented & us winning the game more convincingly, Klopp’s got us bang on point training the team with our attacking/counter-attacking….Etc BUT now I think he needs to start training the team to be more tighter defensively & getting players back quickly when the opponent breaks on the counter-attack! This is an issue we have (Not a huge issue BUT still its a problem) Its no secret that at times we concede really sloppy goals that can be prevented, We have 1 of the best goalkeeper’s in the world - if not the Best!!! But I often feel sorry for him sometimes as most of the goals conceded are not his fault & usually from a defensive error from 1 of our defenders slipping up! Anway let’s just hope Klopp sees this pressing issue an manages to correct & sort it out!!!🙏🤞.

Able to overcome adversity and win, impressive. Verdict: Progression. Game day 3. win away against Newcastle. Even bigger setback, being scored against and losing VVD is major setback. Nobody would think LFC could overcome such odds against a strong Newcastle, yet the Never Give Up spirit surfaced and an impressive win. Note: Darwin turning point with 2 goals. Verdict: Progression. Game day 4. win at home against Aston Villa. Comfortable win. Demonstrated the resilience to weather previous 2 setbacks and blossom. First clean sheet. Verdict: Progression. Game day 5 after INTERNATIONAL BREAK. Emphasis on break. LFC don't do well after interruption, the boys need momentum. Win away at Wolves. Revert back to type, being scored against first, then win. The NGU spirit is dominant, the arrogance is evident. Verdict: Reset. Game day 6 after win away at Lask, win at home against West Ham. On paper West Ham is a strong team, on record, LFC never lost against West Ham at home since 29 August 2015 (under Brendan Rogers), unbeaten at home in 8 previous head to head, so this should give the boys some psychological boost, and as expected, LFC started well going ahead first, I was expecting a first clean sheet after international break, yet, for so many games and previous seasons, LFC allowed opposition to catch up. In the end, the NGU spirit is dominant, the arrogance returned, confidence returned and a comfortable win in the end. Verdict: Small Progression. If we can start to get more consecutive clean sheets, it would do the team a lot of good, and we should win the league. I have said before, LFC won't win the League if there are more than 4 losses, it demonstrates the difficulty of EPL, with even more quality teams this season, yet defense remains the foundation of success. I can understand Klopp's philosophy to entertain the fans by attacking with flair and style, but a balance needed to be struck: we have scary attacking players, and now the midfield looks like consolidating well with Mac Allister and Szoboszlai, Curtis Jones can play a bigger role by integrating better, some defence tweak has to be done to remove vulnerability. Of course Klopp (give the guy a statue!) knows all these, we can comment and moan, but we should Trust Klopp, after all, I'm so glad that Jurgen is a Red. I'm so glad he delivered what he said. Jurgen said to me, you know. We'll win the Premier League, you know. He said so. I'm in love with him and I feel fine. YNWA
