@@mcshan6953 LOL my apologizes for not being clear with communicating my thoughts. Re-recording is a great option because in the end she get to own her masters. However, the feeling, the sound, the over experience will not be the same. The extra part at the end that was a "mistake" but the producer decided to keep it anyways cannot be duplicated for the most part. Getting the exact same musicians, background singers, recording room, the empty pizza box on the piano etc is almost impossible to duplicate. It will come close but it will not be the same. My comment has nothing to do with Anita's voice. I know she will sound impeccable. However, even her voice is different from when she recorded songs many years back. Different- not go or bad but different. So again, I know the re-recordings will be amazing but it will not be the same as the original. I hope I was able to communicate better this time around. I appreciate Anita and do not want my comment to be misunderstood. Either way, I send love, grace and blessings Anita's way. Thanks for your response and reading this. Blessings to you MC Shan.

She is her biggest influence and also responsible for her big break. Babyface & LA wrote “Love Shoulda Brought You Home” for Anita and Toni sang the demo. Anita turned it down and suggested they use the demo vocalist....that became Toni’s first single.

Interesting observations. So sorry you did not get a concert from her, yet I'm betting there was something more to her refusing to perform than just promoters failing to provide a banquet. That's sounds like the gossip tabloid version of the story. What was her version of why she didn't perform? It seems likely that there was a larger usury/exploitation issue going on here. Some promoters are 24-7-365 scammers. What's her story?
