Going through some of the more interesting things for Arrowhead and Artifact Hunters
The Cahokia Mounds Museum is a historic site and museum located in Collinsville, Illinois, United States. It is named after the Cahokia Mounds, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest pre-Columbian archaeological site in North America, which are located on the grounds of the museum.
The museum showcases artifacts and exhibits related to the Mississippian culture, which existed in the region from around 800 to 1600 CE. Visitors can learn about the daily life, beliefs, and practices of the ancient people who built and inhabited the Cahokia Mounds through interactive exhibits, displays, and educational programs.
The museum features a range of displays, including archaeological artifacts, dioramas, reconstructions of prehistoric structures, and a film about the site's history. Additionally, the museum offers guided tours of the Cahokia Mounds, including the Monks Mound, the largest earthen structure in North America.
Overall, the Cahokia Mounds Museum is an educational and fascinating destination that offers visitors a unique glimpse into the rich history of the Mississippian culture and the significance of the Cahokia Mounds in North American history.

I've seen Tutankhamens treasures on traveling display, yeah, was good. But the treasure beneath our feet is so extraordinary that even now,I would choose this glorious history over all the gold.. When I went to shows and saw all that art , being sold for money, insane amounts of money.brought tears never sold what I found, I would trade with other collectors,but as these are history,I can't own them,I appreciate and remember the original owners.I am a temporary steward of their skills,no more than that

@@ChristopherRyans Thousands of sacrifice victims is more accurate. I suspect the Mounds were built on some older remnants of another time that has been lost. People should go into museums and film while they still have the displays on public. Sometimes they take stuff down and act like it was never there at all.

Some of the kofun in Japan are built facing the Cahokia mound. It's far away, but it's a module based on the size of the solar system bodies. According to the crop circles on Chibolton, the Anunnaki came from the four moons of Jupiter and others to mine for gold on Earth. And there are clear traces of the mining of the gold mud on the seabed. Thank you for sharing the video, it will be a very good resource. 🤗✌️

Grave robbers. You'd all be kinda upset to know that most of all the "artifacts" in any museum are lithia castings. The curators have the real ones in vaults. It is one thing to find one in a field or a creek. Or maybe at a construction site. It's something totally different when it's dug from sacred ground. I will never be a fan of digging graves. Nor will I advocate the same. I collect to preserve. These curators who call themselves archeological scientists, sell the real ones to private collectors and some have made off with them for their own. Awesome displays to be sure. I'd like to visit some day.

Some of those stone axe heads are way too big and heavy for your average 5 foot 4 ancient native to wield, which doesn’t make sense for a stone tool for that size. But it does make sense for a giant.

Does anyone know if the mounds may have been a means* of avoiding the flooding rivers near their civilization? *Spelling error
@ChristopherRyans
@ChristopherRyans 2 года назад
I have seen many people speculate the Mounds may have been a way of avoiding flooding. So would 3 miles away within eyesight from the Cahokia Mounds on the Bluffs carved from the rivers where my house is and I am writing this message from.. We can see the monks mound and with binoculars see people walking around on top. It appears that next to the Mounds there was thriving villages. If there was a lot of flooding The Villages would have a hard time maintaining infrastructure. We have different Mounds for different purposes it seems. Some were burial mounds and others were used to put homes of important people, tool making shops and religious infrastructure on top of them. We have found Mounds with over fifty sacrificed victims in them. The ones that are left are very few there used to be thousands and they have all been destroyed. St Louis was called Mound City because there were so many Mounds but they are all gone now. It boils down to we don't exactly know why they built them. Many people speculate that it was from a older time and they were preserving old religious sites from an older culture and that is what I believe.
