She certainly found a treasure in him. He is one of the most respectful, kindest gentlemen to ever grace an industry plagued with everything BUT! His talent is remarkable. I'm old enough to have witnessed the greatest of all time, Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly, while both were still in their somewhat "prime", and Mr. Hough definitely deserves his rightful place beside them. A really special talent; an even better human.

I am so happy for you both in your recent marriage. Although I didn’t hear you use the word friend, I think U2 have a strong friendship base before you actually started dating and then marrying, and that is powerful to share a friendship and a commonality, which, Derek, you did say that you both had so much in common from the love of animals to the love of dancing in the love of family, etc. and these were things that helped to see meant further a more meaningful relationship and a relationship you could trust to be yourself in. So many people meet someone and they’re attracted by luxury, chemistry or their financial portfolio but the two of you bonded on something that is going to last a lifetime. And listening to you talk you reminded me of my mother and father. From the time I was five years old, I was very much aware that they loved each other. They were not ashamed to kiss each other in front of us so they were tasteful about it but they hugged each other Hello and goodbye.♥️😊♥️ It wasn’t until I started dating my later to be fiancé/husband , then I realize that my parents demonstration of their love for each other, and their respect and kindness for each other, who is very rare as high school friends in college friends, would come to my home, and when my parents went into the living room to watch the 10 o’clock news and weather before returning to the family area to further play games, and my friends would comment or point at the fact that my mom and dad were sitting beside each other, they were holding hands, and even more So, they were kissing each other. My friends did not have parents that did that… In fact, one friend put it this way, “I have never seen my mom and dad touch each other in anyway, and the closest thing to being even intimate was when they were both on the same side of the car as they were getting ready to go to a church event. They had separate bedrooms, and there was never any indication that they even loved each other.”😂 The two of you will go far in your relationship because of your mutual respect, your common interest, the friendship that existed long before you began dating, and that your career is parallel and help you to resolve challenging issues will take you a long ways and having a LovingBlissful and long marriage . Congratulations & much happiness to you both❣️❣️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ By the way, I too, married, my dear friend of eight years, and I knew I could always be myself with him, and he excepted me for that, allowing me to have my moments of tears and frustrations, and never judging me for it. Just on a sidenote, I am not a woman who gives who hysterics or cries because she’s not getting her way. My tears come from genuine compassion for an issue … Marrying my best friend of nine years definitely allowed me the confidence and assurance to know I was doing the right thing. We remain friends as well as lovers for 47 years before he lost his life to a terrible disease. PS Derek, you are one of my favorite all-time dancers and I love the precision and definition with which you dance and as your wife pointed out, can you put your entire heart into your dance moves and you take us on a journey the moment the music starts.😊♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ Last, I love the bride’s wedding, dress and long trane/veil ❣️❣️ you definitely were, and are a beautiful bride❣️😊🩷💜💙🩷

Congrats Hayley and Derek! Hayley and my youngest son were good friends in grade school until we moved during his third grade year. Hayley used to play at our house and he played at Hayley's.

When Derek spoke about Hayley being stubborn in her love for him, I burst into tears because that’s exactly how I feel about somebody, but the difference is that he doesn’t respond like Derek ultimately did - with an open heart. And it breaks me. The love I feel for this person is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. And when it doesn’t work out, it breaks you. These two are so lucky to have each other, and I wish them nothing but love and happiness for the years to come ❤
