FYI: We have an in-depth interview with myself and Eleiko CEO Erik Blomberg releasing soon where I ask extremely pointed questions on every topic you can imagine, including Heavy Mugs and competitors. Be on the lookout; I was both surprised and grateful they were willing to answer the questions I asked on camera. - Coop
This high quality equipment makes my plastic covered cement weights and rickety sears bench press look bad! Seriously, I’ve been watching your channel for a couple of years now and I’m going to have my own garage gym. What’s your feelings on mutt bars? At first, I thought, “waste of money.” Now I think they would be great.
Why to show off the mug. Guess I was a sucker and didn’t get the special link or preferential treatment. Just got lied to and jerked around by Eleiko. Not a good look to flaunt this in my opinion given the sketchy way it was handed by Eleiko.
@@Fartking_69 Nah. Kicking loyal customers in the teeth by lying to them is just too much fun. An ordering process without preferential treatment where all participants have an equal chance of getting the mug is just a terrible idea.
@@rwatkinsJSU because they couldn't care less about non-millionaire home gym owners. I'm a little surprised (but I guess I shouldn't be) that GGR thought it wouldn't be offensive optics to their community (all of us home gym owners) to have Coop show off the Heavy Mug that they were likely guaranteed; there was undoubtedly enough noise made about the BS Eleiko Heavy Mug marketing stunt by the home gym community that GGR was/is most certainly aware of it.
A few thoughts: 1. It's amazing how everyone you met in Sweden speaks perfect English. 2. I am shocked at how much of their stuff is made by hand. 3. All of their equipment is gorgeous. 4. They all seem like such nice people. This made me want to buy more of their stuff. One of my favorite videos, Coop.
We get exposure to english in entertainment during our childhood and we have as much english in school as we do swedish. If not more. I learned my english earlier though playing runescape.
@@FINsoininen so youre saying I don’t need to learn arabic to visit sweden? I do like to learn the local language, if only a few phrases, even if most people speak english
The quality of Eleiko's products are insane. Also have that nordic 'maximum practicality, minimum, industrial looks'. Which I think also happens to be beautiful!
Like showing off their (likely personally reserved) Heavy Mug that the rest of us were denied after looking like fools, twice, trying to purchase a Heavy Mug during Eleiko's fraudulent "Heavy Mug" launches? Yeah, I feel really "looked out for."
Looking out for the home gym community would actually be calling out these fools who scam the home gym community. Not promoting them. It makes Coop look like a corporate sell out.
Cool vid - always interesting to learn about how things are made. Shout out to Eleiko for being so hospitable, and thanks to Coop for going all the way to Sweden on our behalf. Coop Represents!
I remember getting my 10 and 15 kilo plate pairs. They are beautiful to look at hold in person. But the care they put into shipping is off the charts. They were packed and wrapped like fabergé eggs. Expensive yes, but the quality and pride in their equipment gets my business.
That was excellent, well done. Eleiko really feels like a small family business, and watching the processes one can see why their equipment is second to none in the world.
Cooper boy! This must’ve been a dream come true for you. Very happy and proud of you. Thanks for everything you do and representing the home gym community.
Feels good to see so dedicated people. I feel proud when I buy products manufactures in the west. Yes they are more expensive but if I could afford them I proudly buy them
This was such a good video. That is a company who love what they do and thus do it extremely well. Thanks for getting in there and sharing it with us 🙏🏻
I love Eleiko and living in Sweden it is great I can support a Swedish company. You pay for quality and you get it, but nothing they make is on the "budget" price list. If you are lucky you can get some good deals when they have a seasonal sales or a warehouse clearance. Last time they had a massive warehouse clearance I got 525 lb in IPF KG competition plates for about $1200 USD. Better than buying gold...
Top of the line equipment and the price reflects that. Not something the typical home gym enthusiast would buy when there are so many alternatives these days.
Nice job, Coop! I’m in the market for a squat rack and love the aesthetics of the Prestera series (half rack + dual pulleys), but not sold because of the lack of enough weight and proper seat for lat pull downs and low row. If Eleiko doesn’t fix this, Prime Fitness prodigy series has Eleiko Prestera beat, imo.
Phenomenal tour! reminded me of when Mr. Rogers visited the set of the Incredible Hulk. You gain appreciation from an inside tour like this (and The Hulk isn't real).
The mug was literally the only Eleiko product I’d ever hoped to own. My whole gym is pretty much Rogue bodyweight stuff(wall mounted dip station, gymnastic rings, stall bars) paired with kettlebells/macebells and bands. If Eleiko was ever gonna get money from me or people like me that mug was the way to do it. Oh well. Pretty sure I already saw another company making them. I wanna see more everyday things get heavy.
I'll die on this hill: Eleiko gave the middle finger to the entire home gym community twice with their two fraudulent "Heavy Mug" marketing stunts, and I'll never spend another dime on Eleiko products. And GGR/Coop shamelessly flaunting their Heavy Mug--exceptionally tone deaf af.
Why are you so butthurt about an April Fools joke? They even have a website explaining that it was a joke and they ended up making it a limited edition product? @@benjaminbradley702
I love the Eleiko equipment that I own, feels like super quality and it may be on the expensive side BUT I know that if I sell it I will get a premium price back since everybody knows that it is a quality product from a legendary brand. A couple of years back I hade to sell some Eleiko equipment that I got on the secondhand market (moving to an apartment from house) and i sold it for more than I paid, I also sold some other equipment that was from other brands and on that I lost money, so after that I decided to always get Eleiko when I can.
We got does dumbbells at work, from 12-40kg. the diameter of the handle increase significantly from 32kg and above. Which make it hard form some ppl to do some exercises like DB rows and so on. I like em tho.
Coop, great video man! I am a Territory Manager for Freemotion here in the Midwest. Would you and your team have any interest in visiting our headquarters in Utah? The Dual Cable Cross Lite and Cable Column would be great additions to home gym enthusiasts 🤟🏻
Was gyming with my dad and he was talking about how Sweden had famous weights. I was like "prob a thing from the 80s..." but wow....didn't know they're still at it.
I would love to buy from them but the cost is so prohibitive, but the quality and care is awesome. The home buyer is probably not their main targeted audience
Hi Coop, love the video (and the channel as a whole)! Could you please review the new Major Lutie Lightning F35 Folding Power Rack? I know the quality of Major Lutie isn't the greatest, but I'm really intrigued with the ability of the post width to be adjusted to allow for wider cable flies as I can't stand doing flies with cables on normal power racks with widths of 47"/49". Thanks!
That looked like a good audience for your talk. Can you give us any idea about how they received you, or any feedback. A great video, as usual. Something different and interesting.
Given the use of recycled tires for bumpers, is there a concern about rubber from different tire brands or models affecting the way the bumper handles? Not that I would expect anyone but Eleiko to consider that level of detail.
Weird comment here, but I wanted to see the mug. Lol, almost bought one. I think you could get away with a garage gym mug review. Super cool vid though. Hopefully more equipment company tours in the future.
It was only released to ppl with a special link. Others were allowed to think they had a chance, but really didn't. Real nice to have it thrown in our faces by Coop on the thumbnail. That will be remembered.
@@404mug Absolutely! It was for people who were signed up for the newsletter, which I did do, but even then the drop times were short and obscure and it sold out so quick quantity must have been minuscule :(
I love how he shows it off. Throwing it in our faces. Some get links with “lithium” in the URL to ensure they get the mug. Others get screwed over. Guess he is of the special class and likes to show it off. Disgusting.
@@rwatkinsJSU yeah not classy at all. Good video but sad he did that and I am not even mad about not getting one. Eleiko just handled it VERY poorly and now Coop being that guy.
@@EricB03Agree. The video is great. However, like you said, he is showing off. If it was done fairly, that would one thing. However, they jerked us around and Coop is flexing that he got one and the “little people” got kicked in the teeth. You hit the nail in the head - NOT CLASSY.
If any one of you guys got one, you’d be showing it off and posting it all over your social media “Got my heavy mug!!” So stop. Literally so childish getting your panties in a bunch over something you’d also do.
