Being a hotel man for several decades and having opened 4 new hotels, 2 in Memphis, I have to say they did an excellent job with the decor and the overall feel of the hotel. I’m going to have to put it on my bucket list and experience it firsthand but you sure gave us a good overview Jordan, Thank You. 🤠
That is the cleanest, coolest, classiest "Guest House" I've ever seen! I love the red interior of the closet in your suite and the chapel was absolutely gorgeous. Great fun exploring this place "with" you, Jordan. Really enjoyed your enthusiastic commentary!!!

My nephew worked there before the whole virus happened. He was a sous chef in the main kitchen. He loved it but they let most of them go. Glad you enjoyed it.
The Guest House is first class. So gorgeous. I love all the Elvis around there. The chapel is beautiful. Would love to stay there sometime. Those stairs are amazing. Love after part of it. Thank you for bringing us along.
Thanks for sharing with us. I've been to Graceland 9 times, the first being 1985 (I was 18), the last 2011. They'd not built the hotel when I was there last. It's very nice, but they're changing the surroundings so much from how they were when EP was alive ... it's not the same. Beautiful hotel, though. Glad I got to see. Thanks again.

I saw Elvis 3 times as a kid. These concerts were all in Huntsville, Alabama at the Von Braun Center. I’ve visited Graceland 4 times. The first time was when I was 16 and it was 2 months after they first opened to the public. My Dad was and still is a huge Elvis fan and I became one too. One of my first cousins who is about 14 years older than me got a kiss from Elvis and a scarf at his concert. She has a pic of it. Thank you for sharing the Guest House!
My fiancé and myself (from England) stayed at the guesthouse for 10 days last year! He is a massive Elvis fan and this was his trip of a lifetime. As we arrived at the hotel, they informed us they didn’t actually have a room ready for us so they upgraded us to a suite for the night. We stayed in the Gladys & Vernon suite and it was the best experience of my life. I came to Memphis just to accompany my fiancé and I left with a big newfound love for Elvis 😃😁

When he passed away and after his first burial place ... we walked all the way up to the to where he was entombed ... it was locked (of course) but we paid our respect to the King of Rock & Roll! I have been an Elvis fanatic ever since I was a little girl and that has been many many many years ago. I have collected so much Elvis things that would look great in a recreation room. Yep, I would stay there just to watch “ VIVA LAS VEGAS “ on a big screen. Not a huge fan of the racing part but Presley and Margaret seemed like they actually enjoyed working together. They were a sassy and giggly. It’s just fun to watch.
I've always wondered how differently his life might have turned out if he had stayed with Ann Margaret. She had much more business savvy than anyone in his life, and likely could have gotten him away from the Colonel. That alone might have added years to his life. And to this day she speaks of him, well hardly ever, but when she does you can see the love. Meanwhile Cilla is running around like she's a widow not an ex, a and earning a fortune from his estate.
PS. Before anyone says that she saved Graceland , she likes to perpetuate that myth. But it was the court appointed person,to watch over Lisa And the estate who made the recommendation. She simply said okay to it. I'm not a big fan when history gets rewritten for personal motives

Also I heard the reason she originally agreed to open up the house to the public was to save his estate from going bankrupt and all of it being sold off which intern would've left Lisa with basically nothing in the inheritance. Idk if that's true but that's what I heard because he had spent so much and given away so much stuff along with the terrible contract he had with the Colonel that he was only worth about $2 million when he passed and apparently had a huge amount of debt. Another thing the Colonel screwed up on whether purposely or ignorantly was selling the rights to all of Elvis's music to RCA for a one time payment. Imagine that the artists that has sold over a Billion records worldwide was not getting royalties on all his music because they were going to the record company who paid what amounts to pocket change when compared to the amount of royalties that music has generated from the time that deal was reached. To me that alone is probably the biggest mistake the Colonel made with Elvis' music.
I've been to Graceland several times (2002 2004 and 2007) the last time i went i had the great pleasure of staying at the then Elvis Presley's Heartbreak Hotel. I remember going down to breakfast with my 2 nephews and sitting and eating in a dining room full of people dressed like ELVIS even some ladies (it was Elvis week) so it was a blast. Of course it was torn town to make way for this but i'd definitely stay there as well! And what's weird is i've been to Graceland at least 3 times but i've never been to Disney!

The Guest House is beautiful. Love that you gave us a tour of the property. We were in Tennessee this past March but weren't able to get to Graceland or the Guest House due to really bad weather. I know this is an older video, but I just learned about The Guest House from a video I just watched of Lisa Marie’s Celebration from someone that stayed there. It’s gorgeous as gorgeous could be. I love how excited you got when you discovered his staircase. I can imagine how you felt at the time. My heart would have been pounding! I LOVE all of the artwork on the walls. I don’t know what that style is called, I should because I do it. I either take super close ups or crop random parts from photos I’ve taken of things & places and hang them on our walls. Sorry for rambling, but I really enjoyed this. Thanks for doing this!

Hi Jordan, OH WOW, that's a fabulous place. What an amazing ceiling, I could quite happily spend the weekend in the Lobby!! The Courtyard looks really nice aswell. I don't think you could fault anything at that Hotel. I hope you had a lovely meal in one of the restaurants and I hope you got a gift to bring home. Who wouldn't have a great time there.
