With Gorillaz, they revolutionized music: Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett tell you the story of the band, from their meeting to their latest album "Song Machine, Season One: Strange Timez"
I'm not quite sure how I feel about the absence/lack of mention of Cass Browne who played such a huge part in the lore, marketing ideas and stuff. They're good at what they're doing but now, the band members feel like mere puppets...
Still feels the same to me. It’s probably because the band has been around for 20 years and is hugely successful. It’s a brand not a band at this point.
i feel the same, also I fear that someday Gorillaz turn into a familly friendly tiktok dumb dancing commercial band that survives only bc of the nostalgia
@@robertdikaplan590 unlikely cuz that’s the very thing Damon and Jamie made Gorillaz for. They hate the plastic fake musicians made just to perform on media.
Dudes they just got their connection back. Be patient alright, anyway I just want to keep this partnership. I love for them to work on other stuff besides gorillaz
The feeling of actually seeing a bullet that pierced the essence and is heading toward a more important core remains for over 20 years. ‘Because of Gorillaz’
@@helloiamelias8911 like they don’t work together in the same area anymore and in my head I always had this idea that they lived together would be next to each other giving comments on the work and craft but now it’s like I make this you make that were done it’s out were the bond the we share a toothbrush type connection well maybe I also had my hopes up but yea sorry if there’s mistakes
Nah just changed to remain relevant and pick up the new audience. Most musicians and bands largely go for the youth market. The youth are the ones far more willing to spend money.
