Bro if our govt understand each other than India and Pakistan can be really peaceful and can grow together easily. But if they do so how they will divide us on the basis of religion and take vote from us. That's the reason behind this all war and hatred. A little context for the pigeon competition, my dad told me when he was a child they used to raise them and train them remain in the air for as long as they can to build their endurance, and they used to have competitions where the bird that flies the longest before landing wins. I've seen a number of vlogs of the slums in different countries and I see one common denominator. HAPPINESS! Yup, all these people have smiles and wave, kids are playing having a grand ol' time. Concrete proof that all the toys and junk and responsibilities and keep up with the jones attitude does not make happiness. We could learn a thing or two from these people. I am from small town usa and am not condemning people that have a lot of stuff, but we tend to find happiness in buying new stuff (shopping) and husband and wife both working 50-70 hrs a week to keep up with all their stuff. A prison in itself. These people find happiness in friends , family and faith and it is enough.

What a _live_ nation!!! - And these videos are made on the fly, no need for a big TV-crew and expensive equipment! - And the natural, friendly local guys you're hanging out with, just perfect! - Jeeez, this makes me miss India even more! 💓 This is top notch, down to earth documentary Peter! नमस्ते 🙏 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

That was a culture shock to watch on video. Some people were lame but the younger kids were super chill and savy.

I used to travel through Dahravi every day on my way to work at Wadala when I worked in Mumbai. It seemed everyone was on some kind of mission. Very industrious. I also remember visiting the"worlds biggest laundry"

Thank you for showing the human side of friendly, entrepreneurial people in this video. Sahil's home is small but nice. Both he and Joy were so friendly and informative. Thank you all for a great video showing a different side to what is called a "slum" besides poverty and desperation.

6:29 the guy got confused because in India mostly Hindus greet first using Namaste, muslims and other communities mostly use their religional greetings like Salam, and Jai Jainendra etc, and @petersantenello was wearing a cap worn mostly by muslims so a muslim saying Namaste got him confused.

Makes one count their blessing. The beauty about the people of the slum is that they’re happy in what little they have. Beautiful clip.

I really liked the attitude of the red shirt wearing boy Joy. He likes to show and promote the best side of Dharavi, the entrepreneurship, the grit and determination, and he feels sorry that all tourists and documentary makers showcase the poor side of Dharavi, the filth and dirt.

Really interesting to see you there, there is lot of population in that area because of that people are staying very tightly over there. The boys are cool, hope you enjoyed the moment, for you maybe it was little bit abnormal, people know how to survive.

Fun fact: Dharav's annual turnover stands at 1 billion dollars approx and many exotic leather product brands import leather from here to different part of the world. That bag in your hand would have cost you $500-$2000 in US for genuine leather but its only $30 here in India.
