So seemingly humble and understated.I am referring to the urbane gentleman. Yet...........this bold house speaks loudly of a powerful personality behind it.
Living with art is transformational! It truly is a spiritual, healing process that one relishes in daily and frankly cannot live without. I understand this fully and thoroughly enjoyed his presentation.
Truly stunning. I felt as though I was in one of my philosophy books and reading the sentences over and over and over... to make sure I absorbed as much meaning as possible... of course also made mental notes. What a brilliant artist.
ive found the best way to collect, is to by for the heart as well as the eye. If it cost £5 OR £5 MILLION , buy ti because you love it and want to live with it .
Brilliant Philosophy.....not what but how, art should be embraced and resonate with surroundings, and other pieces. In my mind....the cladding of ones soul.............
Fact is art like decor and fashion are very subjective, "to each his own", it shouldn't matter if others are unable to appreciate the choices of others. Confidence of one's choices and confidence in themself is all that's required.
I’ve often told my wife - whether it be antiques or garments - the outfit of the day…I genuinely since a young age wanted to do it for pure joy and not to signal or court attention. It’s true joy - that’s it. Authentic and real.
Mounting the corpus on a piece of plexiglass or Perspex, now that’s something I think I can do with my 18th century bronze corpus that’s been in a drawer for years. Thanks for the inspiration.
Yo podrìa vivir en una choza en medio del campo y estar bien, pero què orgàsmico ver tanta belleza!!! Impecable equilibrio! Y encima don Douglas habla INGLES ! no yankee, asì que le entieeeendo! Merveilleux!!!!
These people are on another level...i never understand abstract painting, nor do i understand keeping weird statues without body head and without hand.
I love your beautiful home! And I love how you draw your designs on your tablet! This is something I’d like to learn how to do. Please give me a bit of advice on this. How did you learn?
absolutely agree! I've watched decorators over many years.....they can do magic with furniture but never with paintings and real art.....they constantly fail to forget about colour, texture and other decorators tools, instead of seeing the art work itself.
paintings absolutely stunning, unique and on point. some of the best art and paintings I've ever seen.....every room steeped in class, style. fantastic. BTW, most certain your taste is to be cough, cough, desired.
Like!.. Art for me is an expression and a unique way to see the world throughout the medium used and reflects the painter views in visual effects .... Sometimes even hiding dark secrets ;)
Very impressive and interesting. He has assembled things cleverly and courageously. I could have done without the background music which was irrelevant and unnecessary, and at times intrusive.
A lot of stuff but it works and blends well.... a beautiful home. Ps I feel sorry for the poor cleaner or cleaners because that place would be a nightmare to keep up
Yes, disposable income is necessary. If you have that then buy what you enjoy and makes you happy. A roll of bread and a gallon of milk for me, thank you!
A young Cambridge lad possibly from a wealthy aristocrat family stays rich and savour that very life just like his ancestors might have. I guess it proves that rich stays rich, poor stays poor unless you're an extraordinary person who overcomes the background. One thing is though, I don't see 'less ordinary' in this as the title suggests, only the typical ordinary high class person's life.
IQ , and other characteristics which help a person get ahead, are largely HERITABLE. People who've inherited genes which make them dumb, ugly, lazy and foolish, tend to move downward - even when they've been given substantial wealth. People whose genes make them smart, beautiful, driven to achieve, and wise, tend to move upward - even when they begin with nothing. And we were not told whether or not he had to PAY, to attend Cambridge.
Love his collection but I have to say obstructing the artwork with sculpture is a little wrong in my eye... But I'm not a top interior designer so maybe I'm wrong. I wonder how the painters feel about that?
Always buy what you like, what you’re attracted to, what makes you happy or makes you think. Don’t buy with the intention of making a buck. It’ll show very quickly who you are.
