I've never lived my life in the chaos they live their lives in. I have a home thank God and I have a routine or schedule because of my family and living in America. Much different then living in the middle east. But the hell I did live through can still relate to what the Kurds live through. When you go through traumatic events or always seem to have luck and God against you, like some of these Kurds have all their lives, people wonder why they seem to be happy and positive and influential? Because if they weren't, this pain and war would (it does to a degree )literally tear them apart. They would slowly become more and more depressed as the days went on and eventually all the hope would leave their eyes. They would be lost and probably give up their fight and go home... But wait they have no home for themselves that's why they fight so hard for what little they hold on to so dearly. I've had people tell me that I had that look... The look of helplessness and no desire. I want to give up but I don't have the courage to "give up" so you sit and you stew in your misery. That's what it was like when I was an opioid addict. The third thing I like to mention when you know that someone TRULY supports you and is behind you 100% unconditionally and really cares about your well being that's where the happiness that we seem to always see in the Kurds. They know they are supported and that's why they fight because of the happiness they get fighting for the Basic necessity of shelter and food their families and so on. It all connects and one affects the other. I learned this in hindsight now I am a medic/firefighter and living a damn good life. Looking back I am glad I learned to hold those things (like the Kurds do) so dearly and closely and I had the person in my life. Much like I am to you right now explain all of this and how it connects. The person doesn't recognize this in the midst of his or her pain. But it's there
Since I was in middle school (98’,99’) I’ve always liked the Kurdish people. They were always in the news we watched daily at school. They are good people and much love from the USA 💜

Brother the fall of Turkey is just beginning. The euro is at 11 Lira Fast. This is pure humiliation. From this you can see how powerful ISRAEL / USA etc. are. They did that with just one push of a button. If you want to bring down a country, start with your economy. If the economy is not right over time, people will split up. Then there will be a civil war like Syria in 2011. And in a civil war it is very easy to take territory and control. That is why the YpG has 33.33% of Syrian land under its control in Syria. They have conquered 1/3 of the country. And then the same would happen in Turkey. Although it would be easier in Turkey, because almost 50% Kurds live there in the country, military, shops, banks. So my answer to whether Turkey will fall one day? YES to 400%. If the Ottoman Empire fell, which spanned 3 continents, then so did this little piece of Turkey. The Kurds are braver, braver, more humane, and do not make military propaganda videos in empty villages and shoot in the air and pretend they are in war! The KURDEN fight. They quickly conquer lands. If the Kurds are given bigger weapons, they will conquer every single square meter I'm too sure of that. I also think that Rojava will take important steps towards independence in the near future. According to unofficial information, the YPG has retrofitted again properly when it comes to weapons. In the American Parliament the proposal is made to issue visas for the USA to YPG members and thus to invite YPG officials in America to meetings. 90% of these applications are approved. The Americans were also in METINA, AVASHIN and ZAP and were able to establish 11 indications for the use of chemical weapons used by the Turkish occupation. These are war crimes and could soon cause serious problems for Turkey at the international level (expulsion from NATO). The Turks are currently suffering great military losses there as well. There have been violent arguments for 4 weeks. Rivers in the areas are also contaminated with poison by the Turks. The mountains and fields are set on fire. The residents in the villages are being terrorized. That is clearly a fight against the Kurdish identity. And then brain-blown Kurds come and interfere in the conflict in Israel, even though the serious crimes are being committed in Rojava. It is only a matter of time before the Kurds will wake up at some point. It may be a long time before then, but at some point you will understand what was downfall for you in history and strive for a better life. They will no longer be the slaves of the Turks, Persians and Arabs. That's what your father says too. And I agree with that. The Kurds' undoing was the brotherhood of the peoples, the Ummat el Islamiyah and the ideological political war between the parties. This will be over at some point. If I were to intuitively point to the future ... I would say that no one can stop ROJAVA. You have relations with states, you have gun violence. Your enemies (Turkey, Syria) are greatly inferior to the friends of ROJAVA (USA, France). Turkey is the West’s runaway boy. The chances look very good. We may just have to be patient
Freedom for the kurds! They are the brave in that area, not Erdogan's army, not IS, not Rusia. These are the real fighters and survivers. May God bless you and give you your land back. Love from Romania!
I absolutely agree with you! It is terrible that the West is not doing anything for the Kurdish people, let the Turkish army break in and slaughter them. I said when I learned that the world owes the Kurds to overcoming the isis, that there is no truth on Earth if they don’t get a country of their own after the war. Unfortunately nothing happened, their situation got really worse! From Hungary.

Women of the rest of world much see and realise that these are the real super-women. Hats off to these brave people who are fighting the mortal enemies with such cheerfulness.
Awesome. Men and women living and fighting together as it should be. This is the face is Islam that the West should be shown. Not those cowed and covered women of the IS boys club and beyond.
Except most of them are not dogmatic religiously and probably non of them have read the Quran. Long live secular Kurds! Freedom from religion is the reason why the Kurds will be a formidable force for good! ...I hope :)
newbluesky it’s wrong to secularism = non-religious or non-Muslim. Most are, it’s just practiced differently among different regions and groups. What differentiates the secularism of the revolution in Rojava is that it’s intention is not to end religion, rather to protect it from any one religion becoming dominant & oppressive. The Constitution of Rojava explicitly states in the article outlining the secular nature of governance that it is to ensure & protect the rights of all religious groups, specifically minority groups, to express their religion and culture freely & equally - though the patriarchal & sectarian nature of some forms of practice is being challenged, as central to the whole movement is the destruction of patriarchal, oppressive power structures to both liberate women & end sectarianism and inter-community violence. So don’t make the mistake of assuming this is an anti-religious, anti-Islamic or Western-style secularism, or that they’re fighting against Islam, they’re fighting against patriarchy, sectarianism, unjust hierarchies and power structures and oppression in all its forms. So that includes challenging those elements in all the religions/cultures of the region - and that includes Christianity - but not with the intention of destroying or preventing those who wish to practice the right and freedom to do so. It’s just that the right’s of women & people to be free from oppression & violence, and the freedom and equality and dignity of all peoples comes first.
This is the face of İslam? What? This is the women story! Not İslam faces. This is the war of kurdish people. This is not a religion face. İslam or anything.
I always said, like the kurds. They seem like decent people. Normal, just fighting to protect themselves and for peace. What a cute puppy. Poor little guy/girl.
The kurds deserve there own kurdish state, they have proven their mettle, they're a resilient and proud people and deserve a place to call home. They need to be rewarded for their work in fighting these people on that ground when noone else wanted too

The United States should do EVERYTHING we can to support the Kurds. They appear to be one of the only friends in the region we can depend on, offering a sliver of sanity in an otherwise insane region.
@@hyunnuunbub1936 No, Kurds sold Americans first. When they established SDF, Kurds promised to keep "Democratic" part intact. However, they betrayed American trust when SDF contacted with several terrorist organization such as Taliban although they appear to be fighting against them. They are also heavily connected to PKK, therefore YPG and YPJ. USA wants to keep their position with Turks as close allies since Turks were the most trusted ally of US in the region for years. Also the Kurdish conflicts would literally disband the NATO, causing a series of war to never end in our lifetime, even possible World War 3. PKK also hit Americans which is for CIA, it is vital to fight against them. CIA ordered US Army support to be pulled back after brief support but they stayed and worsened things with many countries because of a murder of a child in Eastern Turkey, Eren Bulbul. This kid was killed in Trabzon, Turkey by a Kurd who was directly trained by US Special Forces. The attacker spent 2 STANAG magazines when conducting the attack, killing a child and a policemen who tried to protect Eren. He killed himself when he understood that he will never escape. His gun was also M16, American Army surplus gun. This put America in really bad position with several countries although it didn't appear much on the media. You can read all about the Kurds and why US pulled back via CIA files about Kurds which was put on public recently.
Also CIA reported that SDF and other Kurdish forces conducted indiscriminate shooting, mass destruction, violation of crucial Geneva Convention matters (fighting without designated military clothing, fighting in designated enemy clothing), execution without trial, and the most importantly, ethnic cleansing in the region which is the most sickening violation due to current state of Kurds. Their sole claim in the region is dependant on their claim of oppression. Their oppression wouldn't mean anything if they conduct oppression on others.

Just a bit of a technicality, this is not the Peshmerga, these are the People’s Protection Units, community militias armed only with small arms but made up for in fighting spirit, devotion, bravery and the spirit of resistance.
The Kurdish people are a shining example of how moderate, tolerant, and good a middle eastern society can be. I enjoyed my time in Iraq working with the Peshmerga.
