Hey guys, great video, that villa was or still is owned by Mario, the Ark bar owner. Probably one of the most successful foreign business person on the island.

Cute Video! Just wondering what's your economic reason for staying on Koh Samui. It is because of the rents or do you have a job on the island.

Thanks for watching! We have been living in Chiang Mai for 2.5 years and wanted a change of scenery since we weren’t ready to leave Thailand yet, so we moved to Koh Samui a month ago. We have a video about our move as well. It is more affordable now as it is super quiet on the island. We work online so we don’t have to stay here but so far we love it :)

I'm curious, did you transport your bike from the mainland and if so how much did it cost?

We’re not sure how much it would cost for just the bike because we paid a mover to transport all our stuff (including bike) from Chiang Mai to Samui (costs about 10,000 Baht)

Nice! I like your villa better. More realistic. Hahaha. How far away is the villa away from the market and the beach? How much does it cost to buy something like this? Thanks Flora.

Thanks! We love our little home too, just enough for us :) We are only a 2min drive to the beach and maybe 5 min drive to the local market. Note thinks it costs $3.5 million baht at least ($112,000 USD) but we’re not 100% sure! Way cheaper than HK properties 😆

Sorry we didn’t mention it in the video, I think it’s only in our title. We pay $480/month for our villa in Samui. it’s covid pricing. It was definitely more expensive before when the island was busy.

The view is spectacular, but that Lamborghini House is just obscene. There is so much poverty on Samui, I can’t imagine the mentality of the people that live here. A villa like yours is still much better than the average Samuian, but so much more habitable and gracious on this beautiful island. I’ve only been to stay on yoga holidays at Vikasa Yoga, on the stretch of road between Lamai and Chaweng. They have a delicious cafe and wonderful yoga teachers there. Maybe check them out. I love Samui and am scouring the RU-vid to have a little mental holiday. Thanks guys 🙏🏻
