Good points Mark, but that's not even half the story! Glad you are finally in my hood. Most of us born in Kiserian can tell you that Dam is one big failure on all levels. The dam is actually not operational as it was meant to supply Rongai, Ngong and Kiserian with clean water. The project is poorly designed and located, heavily silted and was never completed. They were supposed to construct a sewage system and a water treatment plant for Kiserian but legend has it that some local politician used the money to build a tarmac road to his door step and also purchase a chopper. All the raw sewage from upstream goes to the dam which makes a stink during the dry season. They did try to supply residents with untreated water by just adding chlorine but stopped after people complained. In it's current form, the dam is just a breeding ground for mosquitos and a cess pool. From what I know of the area, this house should not be in the Dam area. However, the houses down there near the Dam were compensated but guys never left. The Dam just never rises beyond a certain level since it has a lot of area to fill. There no land grabbing to my knowledge. The only good thing about the dam is the micro climate that it has created in Kiserian and by raising the Water Table. This has enabled Kiserian to change from a semi-arid looking area to a lush green one within a span of about 25 years. Keep up the good work Mark! We need those voices heard. I never miss a show.
Thank you for this Faddie, I just hope that at some point, someone will follow up so that the dream behind the dam is actualized. It’s sad to see our country wasting resources like this.
This house is cute love how it's secluded in that amazing dam backdrop, also the interior is very unique would be perfect for filming a movie for a middle class scenario.
i love the gate and fence! the greed amongst kenyan leaders is just really astounding, can you imagine how far kenya would be if development projects were actually completed as envisioned without so much looting?! i think about the communities near the arror and kimwarer dams that were never actualised and i just weep for my country honestly
Mansa, you echo the same sentiments that we experience here in Ghana; a complete leadership deficit and corruption enmasse. There is something indeed wrong with us as a people. The black man is incapable of managing his affairs. Similar to you, my heart is also broken 😢.
We are very much capable. This is not a race problem but an incompetence problem amongst a few. We just need to be more critical of how we vote and clean up our politics since that’s where the mess is.
@@MansaPlus I hear you, but there are reasons why most countries in Africa, if not all, are termed developing / third world countries. How long are we going to wallow in the "developing" orbit? External factors in the form of neocolonialism perpetuated by the West and its proxies continue to hold the continent back. However, as a people we should be able to mitigate this by properly managing our internal affairs. Nonetheless, this has not been the case. Corruption and the absence of transformational leadership continues to be the the bain of our development. Ask yourself this paradoxical question: how can a continent blessed with natural and human resources be poor? We continue to be supermarkets and consumers to the developed nations, instead of harnessing and manufacturing our raw materials. Africa should not need the rest of the world, rather the world should need Africa. But, this is not the case. Is the black race cursed? If the White or Chinese man was at the helm, will Africa be developed by now? These are burning questions I ponder about.
The position of the stair case leading to the ground floor bedrooms vis the ground floor powder room and the upstairs staircase has infringed on the clear demarcation of the living room and the dinning room. It will require a lot of imagination and creativity to have this spaces functional in this unit.
The dam is surveyed and titled. The property shown in this video is also resting on a freehold piece of land. Don't look at 200 acres more on Diagonal view . Its more longitudinal 😅😅 Mensa can confirm
It's true brother a time will come and all these land grabbers and others will be shocked! They will have only themselves to blame. No mercy for mfs. The location is beautiful with amazing views. Good content. Viva!
It really sucks when you see those hovels and concrete put up right on the edges of that water body. This is what putting up dwellings on riparian lands means. And when that day comes when Kenyans will take time to consider the character of their leaders when voting rather than how loud and how many times they shout bwana asifiwe to them, all those structures will go. People who crookedly access critical public utility spaces should be informed there is no time limit for criminalities.
the house has a very nice environment. When i see these forex guys and those working remotely i imagine them buying such houses away from the hustle and bustle of city life instead of big cars and still paying rent. anyway no one mentioned the two sculpted cockroaches in the pantry at 9:40🤣🤣.
Kindly call Ray on 0719186889 we have a house in Ruiru going for Ksh.49.5M you will love it. In case you call him and he is busy, please leave him a detailed message he will get back to you.
I love making use of your chapters labeled to go back and forth, but just wanted to mention that you labeled them wrong on this one. The kitchen and dining are not exactly as titled. Also label the bedrooms correctly, please and thank you 😅
@@cassandradavis1198 hello again, Cassandra… as mentioned on all our videos, you just have to reach out to Business Development contact Ray, on +254719186889 you can send him a detailed WhatsApp message
😂😂 all the videos I've watched here I never expected something I can see from my window...Mark mtu husema akikuja nyumbani bana, 3 minute walk tu nisaidie willis kazi
You have lectured us. Now confirm to us that this property is on a Titled Land and it is not within the dam reserve. If this property is within the Dam Reserve, pull this video down and apologise to us. Let us walk the talk. Respect nature
