HARI KRISHNAN there are many reasons why maruti is top seller. Price of maruti is competitive in any segment. They have so many service centres in india. Spare parts are easily available. Crash test is just for name sake and in real accident none of the cars survive , be it tata, Ford, Hyundai etc. (Unless you're driving an Audi/volvo/bmw etc). Another factor is resale value. Maruti excels in that. Then comes mileage. For a regular passenger, mileage is really important. Design of maruti is really good nowadays except alto and ignis(imo). Maruti is for common man. I'd say , People who use cars to test it's extremes should opt luxury brands. Moreover, many people are simply commenting to defame maruti. Many of them don't even own a car or no technical idea about what they are talking about. Maruti knows what a common man wants. I hope that clarifies your doubt.

sanjeev N it is a common trend in India to follow one. No one tries to compare products available in market. Our Indian brothers are quit rich. They think of milage and price. There life doesn't matter. Move our on the road and u can see maximum accidents by swift and dzire. Look at baleno and breeza. Breeza have interior material of lower grade as compared to swift. Ignis it's omg they are selling a box for 8 lacks. Alto wagon R Ritz celerio guys building a fleet doesn't mean you can provide option to a customer. And moreover you have a long waiting period. Other companies exporting more vehicle provide there car in 10-15 days and maruti rocks...... 7 months. Baleno petrol model is not being manufactured in factory. And at The Nexa people say exports are very high.

Ford is giving them a good fight. And wait for ford kuga hyundai and Mahindra will take there steps back.

sunandks I don't think even the Mahindra will survive, considering their stupid marketing strategy and ugly looking all-new vehicles in the recent times such as the kuv, tuv, etc., Not to forget we've to pronounce the names with DOUBLE OH's.
