Watching prison documentaries makes me value my freedom even more. The thought of going to prison is too awful to contemplate. Here are four words to live by; don't break the law. Whatever you do, just don't break the law: ever.

Finally a documentary I haven't seen

That Sheriff is so egotistical. “Gladiator?!….Really??!!”

I couldn’t imagine a life without music. That’s enough to keep me on the up and up!

This documentary is interesting, the content is amazing but the editing not so much and the story line was all over the place and lacked context at times where narration or descriptive subtitles would have been helpful/informative. All said it's a very good doc. Thanks.

Why does someone need to be in jail for 20 years for a fight?

The obesity among correctional officers is so typical of the occupation.

I saw Maryland and immediately clicked cuz I'm from DC. I saw the dude on here and kept saying that his face looked familiar, and I thought about this program I use to attend, and sure thing I see Ms. Kemp, the lady that the dude hugged at 40:34. That woman saved my life, I call her my second mom. Crazy how life works.

I can tell that head sheriff is prejudiced as he can be. As soon as he mentioned the Gladitor and his reason of liking it and comparing it to the prison that’s all I had to hear. I’ll never go to prison.

This is what I pray Lord keep me out of trouble, Keep me out of jail, keep me out of a court room, out of prison and most of all out of hell. In JESUS mighty name amen! 🙏

When a guard is too damn lazy to pick up disposable gloves off the ground with a trash can next to her, you know the inmates running the f out that place.

I was locked down without music and finally when I did get to lower custody I got a radio head phone for 50$ I cried listening to music it had been so long since I had that luxury it took my heart strings

The draconian sheriff was indicted on conspiracy charges for falsifying documents on sheriff letterhead to illegally acquire machine guns to rent out at a gun range he co-owns. He took leave back in April of 23 but has since re-instated himself to full duties. I assume the case is still pending and am hoping he gets justice either way with no prejudice just because of his office.

Maryland is one of the most diverse states in the entire country. One county is very liberal the next county over is very conservative. I’ve lived here my entire life and is so crazy just how much the environment and people change from one county to the next. Then you go into Baltimore which suddenly turns into Somalia.

seeing the Sherrif driving a military vehicle does not make me feel safer like the Sherriff thinks it does

I really don’t like this sheriff. He seems a bit arrogant and that vehicle, just driving around town, is for HIS ego….not to let people know they’re “safe”. Then the Gladitator photo, his explanation…cringe.😬😬 It’s amusing that the inmate claims they are in control. Yet, they are told when to get up, when to eat, when they shower and get rec time. I’ve been in jail and even with corruption, THEY are in control.

lol…I see I’m not the only one who feels this sheriff thinks he is all that and a bag of chips…what an arrogant individual he is. He definitely thinks he’s a Polo man, but really he’s more on the side of Old Spice! lol

I find the sherrif arrogant.He says he's like a gladiator.But a gladiator doesn't fight against opponents who are locked up

I love and grew up in Maryland unfortunately I’ve see a lot of the insides of these Kai’s but managed to get my life together and been working and taking care of my kids change is possible people you have to really want it tho🙏🏾

On minute 42:53 - The guy who said he was smart was asked a simple question - do you think you'll go back to prison. The answer could have been - i'm going to do everything within my power to not repeat or do anything that'll make me go back to prison. Instead, he said they might have to kill me this time. Like really bruv.

The title is Maryland Prisons, but it focuses on a jail. The description says albany new york, but this is Frederick County and PG County.

I did fifthteen years in prison in the bahamas at 17 but god use it to save me and make me a better man praise yahweh

He's asked does he think he's going back to prison, instead of saying no im going to turn my life around he says he won't let them catch him lol. So he's not even going to try . These again are the so called victims no matter what they do to themselves they never blame their own stupidity

Why did you edit out the narrator? There's ppl answering questions the we didn't get to hear. If someone came up and said "Yeah, I tried but the top wasn't there" wouldn't you be very confused?

its a difficult job being an officer. there is definitely people in there that shouldnt be. even tho you only see the good ones in videos like these which i respect. but the few out there are definitely fcked up abusing their power ruining it for those who wanna help the community also kinda funny how the lady said; ''if you can in illegally you are going to be transported out'' just imagine her forefathers came in illegally. that ground would be more legally owned by mexicans than the whole fcking U.S.A inhabitants lol

Prisons in the USA , amongst other countries need to look how prisons are run in Japen. Prisons there are absolute discipline and you have no choice but to fall in line,also a lot safer for inmates.
