Life in maximum security is predictable. It’s rules, routines, and rigor: No questions asked, no choices given. But what happens when inmates step out into a world where they’re free to make decisions? Desperate to break his cycle of reoffending, Boon Keng takes matters into his own hands and seeks to confront his greatest obstacle. After being given a new lease on life, Iskandar grasps an opportunity he neglected in his childhood. Rusdi’s loved ones try to dissuade him from returning to a career that sent him on a downward spiral. Under the supervision of psychologists, Khai revisits his dark past.
In Singapore that's dangerous crimes, 😒 , adulterers decriminalized adultery , drug addicts decriminalized drugs , how many rapists and robbers have to be politicians in your country to decriminalize both crimes. Just imagine.
This is the most well mannered bunch of hardened criminals in maximum security that I have ever seen...but on a serious note, what he said about them being "good inmates but bad citizens" was an interesting call...
I think you have to understand Singapore’s government. Everything is super clean and neat and nice. Just for spitting out chewing gum on the sidewalk is an offense. I dunno. It seems okay but also draconian. It’s like a dictatorship but it’s not really. They present themselves as an ideal society and I guess if you commit a “crime” it’s shameful.
@@FreeDocumentaryJust to be clear, spitting chewing gum on the streets is a crime known as “ littering “ punishable with 2000 fine and community service. Chewing gum itself is not a crime in Singapore, it is the selling of chewing gum that is a crime. Hope this helps!
yo nice video just finished watching and wow. i was incarcirated in oregoun usa and this is so much diffrent. in us prisions we mostly just waste away and not much to do to really even try and get better.

Singapore is a very small, modern, and beautiful nation. Despite this, they still practice outdated punishment and sentencing for very simple and nonviolent drug charges.
@@FreeDocumentary no you want to push your insane leftist policies and destroy countries who know how to treat criminals. See what's happening in your us cities. People openly looting stores. It restrains people and it's good.
These documentaries sure are interesting and show how different the prison systems are in different countries. I seen the American, Philippine and the Ukrainian one's already!
As always you catch and punish the small fish but let the big fish roam around freely, the criminals in suits and ties and with big bags of money. Those offenses that they commited would have get them a warning by a judge and 3 weeks of social service in my home country.
In Singapore, you get the death penalty for saying the word "Chewing Gum" and your entire family and your descendants for the next 8 generations get the death penalty if you actually possess chewing gum...
