Colin, I don't know what it is you do exactly, but I do know I think about you everytime I watch a movie and admire the sound quality. Congratulations to you and Diana and the whole team! Here's to the next 25 years; excited to see what comes next!
Could have watched an hour of this. My journey has gone from McDSP crashing my basic Mac, and me writing them off for years, to me now being a subscriber and choosing McDSP for about half of my plugin duties. A little late on the congrats, but best of luck down the road!

McDSP is always the 1st developer which makes me want to upgrade to their products after using the others. It takes time to collect all of them 1 by 1 but I think I’ll achieve it before I am 60. Thanks for the awesome products! Cheers!
hey colin, we hope you get to all of 'em, too! happy anniversary to one of the coolest and funniest guys i know, and to the whole crew at MCDSP across all the years. i've been a user and evangelist of these products since the beginning, and i've never stopped using them across decades! they're still great sounding and fun to use. the APB16 is probably the coolest innovation to come along in audio processing in years, maybe since digital control. i wish i had one here. i suppose someday, i will.
Congratulations, McDSP. You should be proud of your excellent work all these years. I use everything from McDSP, and have been following its development since 2004! Lots and lots more DSP's for everyone!
Congratulations, Colin, and all the amazing team at McDSP. Thanks for the first 25 years of innovation 😉 keep going for many more. We want more and more tools!!! 🥳
congrats and happy birthday! i've been using your plugins since filterbank v1 and loved them from the start. SA-2 is indispensable on my voice bus. thanks for your outstanding work, and the entertaining video content.
Love McDSP! Some day soon I will buy the APB-16. I have a small amount of outboard gear for tracking but I think for mixing and 2 bus the APB is the most intelligent solution and cheaper than buying enough rack gear to mix with and from what I hear it sounds even better than most gear out there. 5 grand isn't a lot of money for 16 pieces of rack gear that can morph into different units on the fly with recall and digital control in one rack U. It's genius!
Congrats 🎊! You deserve a place in audio history ! Well, in mine you are ! From my first TDM plug to the SA-2, your were one of the first company’s to focus solely on plugins. I remember the first plug-ins catalogues that came with Protools 5, huge lists of plug-in developers ready to rock !! With dazzling ideas and projects alike. Congrats to all you, you are with us , the users in such profound way. Thanks !
I knew I wanted to support McDSP when I had to call and change my billing info, the person on the phone knew me from facebook forums and it was like I called a friend not a company, after that I try to support McDSP as much as possible. I still don't have an APB yet but I'm saving for the APB16 now!! If you haven't tried McDSP you are missing out on great sounding but more importantly ROCK Solid Stability.
Thank you! We already have a channel strip APB plug-in, the Moo X Mixer! You can use it in two different ways: As a single channel strip, or as a full mixer to which all the individual channel strips are routed. Each single channel strip instance can be controlled from the full mixer at once. You can find more info on the plug-in here: mcdsp.com/apb/moo-x-mixer/ And you can find a video tutorial on how to use the plug-in here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rbaDqlR3Yjk.html That said, if you have any other channel strip plug-in requests for the APB, feel free to let us know so we can pass them along to our engineering team!
Using the APB technology, you guys should make a insane instantly recallable console with the means to have long chains on every channel... maybe even third-party unit inserts much like the 500 format that has to be digitally controlled... that would become the standard console in all big studios. Hum Audio just made what I think is the best analog design for ages, but I was thinking how these days recallabilty in the mixing process is preferable over the analog spind for many. As many now put the analog magic in the masting stage instead. I do myself most of the time unless it's a personal project, and I have all the time in the world to spend on it. My mixing setup now consists of 4 ATB-16's, two full racks of the Wes Audio 500 units, and their bus compressor and 4 of their NG76's❤
Funny you say that! We're now (until 10/22/2023 11:59PM) running a coupon for all 25% off v7 upgrades. Use 25OFF4UPGRADES at checkout and get 25% bundle and individual upgrades to v7. Be sure to email support@mcdsp.com if you have any questions!
ok nice, looks great though it does add up.. I've got seven plugins that need upgrading - would be great to have a staggered discount for multiple upgrades. also I'd like to move from 6050 to 6060 and furthermore see no upgrade path from native to HD versions. just some food for thought in regards to existing customer support, thanks for this offer though, I might upgrade the plugins I used to use most frequently and take it from there! @McDSPTV
@@McDSPTV ok nice, thanks for the info! in the meantime I've upgraded some of my most used plugins.. is there full V6 compatibility on ML4000 and 6050? meaning that settings will be recalled correctly in ProTools with V7 installed upon opening old sessions that had V6 in them? and sound identical?
Yes, your v6 settings will transfer and sound identical in v7. If you have any further questions, please write to support@mcdsp.com 😁 @@martenthielges1179
6060 v7 vst3 on window seems abit slower than AAX now. I hope MCDSP team will fix it soon. cos I really love 6060 v7 module, but i stick with other DAW like Reaper and Studio One than Protools.
Thanks! If you're running v7, you should see a small RTA button at the bottom left corner of the plot. You can click that to show the RTA. Note that RTAs are not available in our HD plug-ins while they're in AAX DSP mode. If you're not running v7, you'll need to Upgrade to v7 in order to use the RTA. You can find v7 Upgrades here: mcdsp.com/upgrades/
@@cl_audio_90 The SA-2 does not have an RTA, so it's normal that you do not see the frequency spectrum. Since you have v7 it sounds like you're seeing the latest version of the UI! If you think there might be a problem, please email screenshots of what you see to support@mcsdp.com with more details.
@@McDSPTV at 3:45 Collin is messing with the SA-2 and the display is different. On my SA-2 I can only see the Gain Reduction Bars or In/Out. Is that an older version?

@@cl_audio_90The user interface of SA-2 was updated/changed with the v7. I have not upgraded to v7 and I use v6 now and the UI is different
