Nice share! Great room and set-up. The Klipsch LaScalas also bring the sound forward into the listening area. It ultimately comes down to personal hearing.
I agree, live ACOUSTIC music does not come out toward you at all, be it a jazz group, string quartet or huge orchestra and choir performing Beethoven’s 9th. The sound image or whatever you want to call it should not come forward from the plane of the speakers, and from there it should expand outward to the sides, up and most importantly back from the speakers.
@@Yeastextract I agree. Sound that is projected forward is not dimensional, and it seems to be boxed in. This is the typical sound of mass market, and blue tooth speakers.
Nice explanation of your speakers. I had a pair of Muse Model 18 subs & they were really wonderful subs. So smooth, deep and with only 2 10" drivers surprisingly powerful because of their horn loading. What is Kevin up to today?
A most interesting video Michael! I have one concern though....surely the musical instruments standing in the room vibrate sympathetically with the music, perhaps? I'd be very wary of having undamped musical instruments in my listening room (or I would be assiduously check them with my stethoscope for resonant behaviour), am I worrying about a problem which in practice doesn't exist? He’s sound treated the room already so it’s probably balanced out. I’m sure it sounds pretty good. Sometimes life is too short to be worrying about hifi nonsense!
