Looks like it could be an ancient fortress. The interior design is exquisite, but what really sets this home apart is its breathtaking view. My favorite part is how serene it appears to be
I dated a girl from Minnesota a d y’all are VERY protective of the number of lakes. I used to tease her whenever we saw a puddle that it was a lake. That being said I love Minnesota. Beautiful country.
@@jneusbaum3697 she doesn’t live there but I assume she does. That was 30 years ago. You can take the girls out of Minnesota but you can’t take the Minnesota out of the girl.
This house is lovely and sits on, arguably, the most sought after lake in the US, but the fact that it had to be cut in price goes to show that mansions are a thing of the past.
To have that kind of money most people, not all, have screwed a lot of people. There is a reason for the bible saying that it is difficult for a rich man to enter the pearly gates. What you are calling a blessing from God is what is called the "theology of Glory" promoted by the enormously wealthy preacher Joel Olsteen who has collected his wealth from the gullible.
@@frogleg10 just like Trump. Any grifter who is cynical enough to wrap himself in the flag and sit at the foot of the cross will just pull in hordes of suckers. We are awash with stupid people, the ones whose inert minds give power to those who exploit them.
I’m really glad the mature trees near the shore were preserved. I’m sure the breathtaking views of the lake are great. Connecting to nature with great landscaping should be a priority on such a great home.
Fortunately, "state shoreland rules prohibit intensive vegetation clearing in the shore impact zones. ... The shore impact zone is half the distance of the structure setbacks." In short (and mercifully) MN has strict rules and regulations protecting pre-existing trees near the shoreline.
8.2 Million is far and away, not the most expensive home in the state of Minnesota. The one being built on the site of the former Pilsbury Mansion absolutely dwarfs this house. Probably in the 25-30 million build price, and at least 3x bigger than this home. There are several other homes on Minnetonka that wouldn't list for less than 10M.
There's a guy that has a house on my lake in Minnesota it's gotta be around 20-30 million ,the guest house is in the millions ,he owns an airport I heard .my aunt just sold her house on my lake for 1.25 million and my property is worth over 1 million but I don't have a house ,just property
It already looks outdated. Is that normal or just the trend of woods and Irons mixed? Looks like a restaurant of sorts, so whoever bought it must have the money to change every last, basic, detail. Good luck.
Minnesota is beautiful in the winter. If you can work from home and don't have to drive. Winter seems magical and there are many outdoor winter activities. But I will cede the fact it's nice to get away for a few weeks to soak up some sunshine.
After he said 1,000 lakes rather than the actual "Land of 10,000 Lakes" in Minnesota it bothered me the entire video! I couldn't get over it....next time do your research before you write your commentary.
This is what has happened to architecture since they have stopped teaching architectural history. This is the most ignorantly conceived mishmash of conflicting architectual styles I've ever seen. The architect clearly had no idea of what he was doing.
I always see alot of pretentious commentary on every social media platform...in this case I have to say, whatever one's opinion on architecture I can't imagine you'd be ungrateful to live in it! I certainly would feel blessed to have such a home!!
@@Samahra01 There was nothing at all pretentious about my comment if that is what you are referencing. It's the house under discussion that is pretentious ( in the extreme). I don't see how being grateful for a roof over your head has anything to do with expressing an opinion about architecture.
@@kirbywaite1586 the architecture is not poor, I’m not sure where you got your degree in architecture, but this home appears quite beautiful to me and it appears many people in the comments section. No need to be so pretentious and hold such unsupported hate to those who designed this home. Architectural success has only to do with appearance and function, it seems functionally sound… and is beautiful to a great many people.
I live in Minnesota, 3 years ago I was working on a home on lake Minnetonka 62million dollar build. Also home for sale in Minnetonka going for 35 plus million! Ps land of 10,000 lakes
Gorgeous house may the Most High gives the people that bought the house strength healing prosperity protection peace and provide for them in his holy name amen 🙏❤
when i lived in mn in high school. going down a hwy one day a pond was rename to a lake . the reason was that they didn't have enough lake to make it to 10,000 lakes
Why would anyone want a place that big. Imagine trying to keep it clean, you would need a dozen housekeepers just to keep up with it. They are nice houses don't get me wrong but why waste so much money on something so meaningless?
🤣 change your consciousness and thinking. People who can afford these properties are not worrying about dust bunnies or hiring staff to clean. It could be their vacation home and not their permanent residence.
They are leaders in a large organization and entertained their teams on a monthly basis. They were able to think Outside the box and realize it's not all about them.,......🤣👍
I’m planning to move to Minnesota. At first, I was eyeing Minneapolis. But I’d love to live in the country. Still don’t know in which city I should buy my house. Any recommendations? It would be greatly appreciated.
@@e-rockmixtapes4073 Minneapolis is a toilet, it will always be that way under Democratic leadership, when working down there you can't tell if it's a Monday or a Saturday, dead!!!
Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. True as his word days but as Jesus said they no not what they do,,,we get caught up in this worlds ways, An Jesus eat with the rich as well as poor ones, thieves, prostitutes and the common his way was for all to see
Buying a house like this requires at least 1mil per yr in income, consistently. If you're not making that much money don't even think about it, you will get annihilated by the Taxes unless you won a lottery > 70 million and you only plan to keep the house for one generation.
Built by an Amway distributor, paid cash for everything, the pool alone was nearly $3M. It was featured in the Amway magazines during the two years it was constructed. They've since moved up to bigger and better.
Great context. Everyone needs more than there salary to be financially stable. The best thing to do with your money is to invest it rightly, Because money left for savings always end up used with no returns..
Same here, I made $12,400 profits on investing since I started trading with Burton Schilchter his trading strategies are too notch am winning consistently trading with him. He's really the best broker, I've made a lot of profit investing with him.
After watching so many RU-vid tutorial videos about trading I was still making losses untill Mr Burton started managing my investment now, I make $6,800 weekly. God bless expert Burton. His been a blessing to my family.
There are actually 20,000 lakes and this is no lake home- the lake has no part in the feeling of this building. Buy it, gut it and turn it into a restaurant and banquet hall. It is very "unlakey"
