Imagine ripping apart other women looking and FEELING amazing on their wedding day whilst sat there yourself wearing crocs.. Honestly, I love Sheerluxe but this was a very misjudged topic in my opinion! Such a negative vibe, sorry I had to turn this one off.
so true! I really didnt appreciate the 'Madonna to whore' comment?! I thought we were past these kind of statements and calling out women for their choice on what to wear🥲 @sheerluxe please do better 🙏🏼
This panel brought nothing to the show, other than Sunita Nair. Please don't bring them back. I tried jumping in throughout the segment and just kept skipping because they were so utterly dull
Agree. She really knows and appreciate the details and tailoring. Also more importantly (to me), she seems like such a lovely upbeat but yet warm woman. Most looks good on you when you radiates that.
I would think Culpo's dress was very simple on purpose. She is so gorgeous that she doesn't need extra fluff to be part of the dress. I don't think average bride would choose her dress but she did because she can pull it off 🤌
I’m happy to see I’m not the only one who was very uncomfortable about the harsh comments on both Olivia’s wedding. It was just mean gossip and felt like The Sun took over this segment, that’s not very modern of SheerLuxe.
I’ve loved the sheerluxe show for years but it’s recently been feeling so out of reach. Previously it was majority products I could buy with a sprinkle of luxe but now it’s all Khaite, the Row, Prada, Bottega etc and it’s honestly making me not enjoy it as much anymore. Can you please incorporate elements of the luxe girl range. Also the viewers are not influencers we don’t get PR discounts some of this stuff is more than monthly rent payments
I agree, there's very little depth now. It's just promoting consumerism of very expensive products because it pays the influencers or is an advertisement. I miss the chat with substance and interesting interviews.
I agree. Even though I personally enjoy watching and getting inspo from the lux products I feel like the prices are so out of this world! But I have seen many influencers getting out of hand such as back in the day they would promote maybe on expensive bag a year and now its like 3/4 a week😅 its a lot! And makes you think where is this money coming from😂 Like Im working full time and cannot affort chanel, lv, bottega even in my dreams saving for years
Olivia Culpo looked beautiful in her dress. I find it a bit odd saying that a celebrity bride should be on brand for their wedding. She looked elegant, timeless and beautiful which is what I would assume most brides wish for on their big day🤷🏻♀️
I agree too. Interesting also, the other week I commented here, questioning the fashion level, when some in the panel was saying a simple white t-shirt (with a logo..) was "omg aaamazing" and I was corrected by Sheerluxe...So I guess their view is, they can criticise, but cannot take it themselves...However, in this case it wasn't even critics, it was all pure negativism. And then of course they had to save it up, and be cool & credible-fashion wise, mentioning Carolyn Bessettes wedding dress being the most fabulous one.., yet in reality, hers also was quite simple (beautiful yes), but just as comparison with what they said about that first wedding dress being "too simple"...
And before Sheerluxe feels the need to defend in the name of "not being mean" their own defence to criticizing was that if you are a public person and going to put yourself out there in a public way, then you are going to have to deal with the comments. Right back at you, ladies.
Totally agree, Let people.decise to.weat with they want on Thir Special Day! I thought she was telling a story on her day through the Wedding dresses! But omg please let people live. This convo came accross as Mena Girl Group Lunch time Football Bleachers talk!
Yup there’s critique and there’s an open mindedness to a style transition that I personally thought - whilst stepped away from some of the Dolce codes - held very true to their structural aesthetic. I for one thought it was a fabulous dress - the epitome of the Catholic, Italian bride - and could see beyond the detraction from Culpo’s usual style. Sometimes you have to be visionary and allow a person to break with old. A lot of self-contradictory statements for example - it’s ok to see a bride’s midriff if it’s culturally appropriate but not otherwise? Does that mean really you are covertly disparaging of the ethnic bride for displaying hers if displaying skin is usually inappropriate / offensive to you? It just makes no sense to me. Tragically we will never know Carolyn Bessette’s style evolution. She is eternally encapsulated at her supposed “zenith”. Carolyn was a dark horse and spirited - I could have totally seen her doing a fashion volte-face.
Monikh's wardrobe is everything!! Completely agree with the comments about the unnecessary negativity around the wedding dresses, it didn't feel nice watching that part :/
I’ve never commented on a RU-vid video before but as a fan of Sheerluxe, I felt compelled to echo the sentiments of other commenters. I am all for fashion critique and voicing one’s individual taste, likes and dislikes but the tone of the opening conversation is totally off. It is far too negative and the criticisms are voiced with an air of contempt that makes the comments seem personal and deeply unkind. Charlotte does well to attempt to bring some positivity to the conversation but overall, it feels like a bitching session and it doesn’t feel appropriate to have these sorts of conversations about other women online in 2024.
These opinions were most inelegant and downright catty. Lu and Nana for example always deliver such balanced opinions with sophistication and professionalism, it's why I could watch them comment (intelligently and insightfully) on all things fashion and style all-day-long. This has given me the ick and for fear of furrowing my brow anymore, I've had to switch off.
When Charlotte started talking about two recent celebrity weddings I thought she was referring to Chivido (Davido and Chioma) and Sharon Ooja’s 😂. My fellow Nigerias and Africans on the continent and in the diaspora will understand 😂
I NEVER say anything bad, but sorry those Croc shoes are the most unattractive things I have ever seen on anyone. After living in Italy for many years where shoes are everything they are an eyesore 😳………..🤗🇨🇦
the conversation regarding the wedding was unnecessary and took this video to the direction of old sheer luxe… those comments made by those tastless girls was uncomfortable to watch and i hope you don’t invite them for conversations in the future because that was beyond rude. always love lou and monikhs wardrobe is 10/10. nice to shine light on the row one of my favourite brands for a long long time.
I dont understand why people are saying the Olivia Culpo/wedding segment is mean?! They were only discussing it politely and they are right, if your pictures are out for publicity and social media, you are open to criticism, and everyone has a right to their opinion. It doesn’t take away from her beauty but not favoring a public figures dress is not putting women down or mean spirited.
I absolutely love Rosie's dress and shoes (and I despise crocs). The Monikh segment was so special; I loved seeing the body language and how engaged and animated they both were, and of corse I adored the clothes about which she speaks so intelligently but also so personally. Furthermore I had no idea those people even got married, but I think that the only person you should please on your wedding day is yourself, by which you would presumably also be pleasing your husband, since he loves you enough to marry you! You do not owe fashion anything. I wouldn't have chosen any of those dresses, but I would have been interested in their own stories behind the choices.
I love your new set but your new theme music doesn't suit what your show is about..horrible attempt at trying to be"cool"? I don't know..gives me a headache
Olivia Culpos dress was breathtaking. Truly stunning. Olivia P was more a custom than anything . Also , while Monik style was something else , WHO can afford 5k on a basic jacket ?!, it’s the UK & Ireland not tax free Middle East .
For a long time, as the price of Chanel increased, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I'll be happy that I have the kislux as my travel bag that I don't have to take care of. By the way, I'm sure no one will have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.
Fashion experts or bullies? This was so uncomfortable to watch, Rosie and Nadia did not come across well at all. I won't be tuning it again if they appear, please don't go down this bitchy path Sheerelux.
I found Culpo’s dress stunning! Simple, elegant, classy and immaculately made with extravagant silks. None of these women are particularly well dressed so should be careful on comments about a bride’s choice. Having said that, too much chatting on this channel, too little fashion.
Went to check the Olivia Culpo dress drama details and it’s not really about the dress itself but rather about the comments she made about how she chose it (sexless, being covered for her husband) that created a drama. You totally missed the point if you wanted to debate on the drama.
I stopped on this because I love Monikh Dale, but was really grossed out by the conversation about Olivia Culpo’s dress. It’s fine to have an opinion but the tone of this was just ewwwww.
No way am I going to let that woman in the blue dress with the Crocks tell me anything about fashion. That's an outfit that not even Alexa Chung from 10 years ago would have worn! 😂
I very really comment but felt I had too. Very uncomfortable catty chat regarding someone else’s choice of wedding dress. Very presumptuous. Bad move SheerLuxe. Bad move.
I found the wedding dress conversation very uncomfortable, I would say bitchy! I don’t normal comment unless it’s positive but I didn’t find this video positive
