Most genuine sailing people on RU-vid by far and away. Most are frauds and clickbaiters and/or have no experience and winging it all the time just for the insta thumbnails etc, not these two, proper real people and Pascy's man has a good deep solid knowledge of everything he does on board. 10/10
Pascal, I don't let you in your your channel forever and I just think you are one of the most beautiful wonderful light-hearted Charming smart women of sailing. So thank you for being so delightful. Like said you were his remarkable and you just ate sweetheart from every inch your bones. Some of us colic just realize that. I just want to share with you that I think you're an absolutely wonderful beautiful smart woman and this man is so lucky to have you onboard this boat
It's amazing when 2 people can live in what's probably around 100 square feet of living space for four and a half years and still get along. Congratulations.
I am glad to hear you advocate for a "Sea Chest". I have never understood why some people who clearly have the Opportunity when refitting or building a boat do not avail themselves of that option. In addition, I am a strong believer in cooling the Main engine with a keel cooler. Something as simple as a pipe on the outside of the hull running the entire length, filled with radiator fluid, being cooled by the seawater, and returning cool fluid to the engine would eliminate all kinds of heat-exchanger and raw water cooling pump problems. I would guess that a very large percentage of below deck problems are the result of not having those two options installed. I love what you did as it not only shows pride but also a good understanding of how to optimize available resources. All the best to you both.
You two look more relaxed, Pascale looks like she just got out of high school, she was showing a bit tired on that last leg. You can post just about anything, we just like to "keep in touch". Bob in Nevada
Was thinking just the same.... they did have a particularly hard last slog though getting back for a family occasion (I think that was it). But a change is good every now and then, as I say to my Mrs of 30 years... but she's still there every morning!!! :)
The hardest part for me as an old guy when I started watching you was figuring out the name of your boat from hearing you say it. Between my lack of ear for Ausie English and the rather esoteric name of the boat it took me a while. Thanks again for all the trouble you go to to make RU-vid videos. I don’t watch regular tv much any more so I really look forward to seeing what you are up to
Ray, you're not alone! I've been racing yachts with various Aussie crew on board my boats for 25+ yrs and I still can't understand half of what they're going on about ("about" spoken like a Canadian...cuz I'm a Canuck eh!). It's a unique accent but they're a good bunch and bloody good in a rough sea. Cheers, from SY Miss Foxy, SINGAPORE.
Thanks for all your great videos, very informative and fun. I do have a concern on the bung location, Here is the scenario, You come back to your yacht from a trip to shore and you find 3 feet of water in the cabin. The pull drawer and the surrounding wood has swelled and locked the pull drawer in place. Sounds like a bad location for the bungs. I know, I am a pessimist. I am really just being selfish because I enjoy watching you two so much, I don't want anything bad to happen. It might interfere with you putting out another great video. Stay safe and have fun. Peace and Light
"in the old timey sailing boats" > Me at 6'4 furiously taking notes for refitting my dads folkboat to live aboard - Yup Seriously though you guys are a massive inspiration! My dad has already drilled into me not to change much and just spend some time on it before deciding, it's reasuring to hear you guys say the same. Even if the ideas running through my head are driving me a bit mad :)
Pascale, you have aged minus 10 years with a bit of TLC ashore! You deserve it. You both look happy to be home. Unless people followed you all the way they won't realise it was 3 years of learning and 9 months of hard work to make that boat a home.
I really admire your accomplishments both with the up-fit of your boat and with your travels. Super Job and many thanks for sharing with us. I wish you lived here (US) so I could meet you in person. I purchased my first sailboat last fall (1965 Person Vanguard) and your channel is the closest of anything on RU-vid that I could find similar to my situation - older style boat with narrow hull design but very solid. My boat was up-fitted by the previous owner about 5 years before I bought her and most of my learning has been to investigate/learn what was done by someone else. I have been doing my own little improvements and modifications since the day I purchased it but I fall short of anything close to your clear thinking - not enough experience yet is my thinking. And I must say you guys have done an amazing job with your Clansman. You have inspired me to make changes and additions that will improve the boat - thank you again so much for sharing your ideas and successes. I really admire you both as a couple and as sailors and ships-men. Keep up the great adventure. God Speed and good fortune.
Ingenious solutions to perennial sailboat layout problems, always with an eye on the possibility of things failing (I am also of the fundamental belief that you should regard everything a boat as being likely to fail and have a back-up plan for each thing), and it even looks good; nice one.
I love the electrical panel, so much simpler than mine on a much smaller boat, OCD-built by PO. Yours is fairly high above the bilge and closed off from spray and rain. Way to go.
Pasquale mentioned a water catcher in storage. When you catch rainwater, how do you purify it to remove contaminates? It would be great to have a video that talks about rainwater purification for safe consumption.
Every time I see any part of y'alls boat I think, you two must get along exceptionally well....LOL. Spent some time on a relatives's 35ft catch and you wouldn't think there would be such a big difference between 30 and 35 but I don't think I could travel on anything smaller than that even on my own. Everything is really well laid out on your boat and as you've said, it costs you so little which is great but I think I'd get a bit stir crazy in such a small space. But I've enjoyed your videos and thanks for taking us along for the ride.
super happy to find your chanel. specifically, your designs are smart and thre two of you are so clear in communication, and tidy in organization and action. I can wait to watch you sail.
i cruise with three other sailing couples from my recliner and this channel is by far the best, You two are true sailors. the others not so much. awesome job on the refit, I am very impressed that you did it all yourselves. I hope you will continue sailing and making videos. I must agree with bob in Nevada, Pascale looks like a teenager, and Troy, well you could be her dad!!!! Ha Ha
Looked back. Been with you since Episode 5. Coconuts. It has been a delight. Selfishly hope you continue to explore and share but most of all wish you well. Thank you.
I hope you two can keep sailing. Don't let the fine young lady revert back into a blood sucking lawyer. (unless she is trying to kick china out of Australia of course). Best sailing channel out there.
As a compulsive armchair RU-vid sailer who is desperately trying to convince his wife that sailing a little boat like yours on really great adventures is where we need to be headed, this episode is going to make it so much easier !!! Yes space is at a premium but great planning makes life 'easier' and when it's easier it's more relaxed and fun. And you guys have documented this so well. These videos have been a pleasure to share with you (especially loved the Kimberleys !!!!!), thanks so much. We don't seem to get many Clansmans for sale in the UK so next best option for me might be a Vega. Love these classic early fibreglass boats that seem bulletproof and have an ability to sail anywhere (with a decent captain of course !!!!).
I truly enjoyed this video. I am a novice wood worker and your craftsmanship is great. I am going to use some of your ideas with my boat renovation. Look forward to your next video.
Hello friends, it's been a while since you made this beautiful trip around Australia but it's been a while since I found your youtube. I loved your video of restoration and modification of your sailboat, you are ingenious and work very well. Thank you for your shared videos, it's very nice to see you sailing and doing everything. I wish you lots of happiness and good travels. A friend from Quebec Canada Bon vent

Wow you guys are so lucky, watching this beutifull video and seeing the ocean outside and the island in the back ground is priceless, thank you for an amazing tour of your beautiful boat❤️👍
I absolutely love your boat. You guys are all right too, I guess. No, honestly, between your channel, sailing Good Bad and Ugly, Sailing Uma, The Adventures of the old Seadog, and that maniac Erik up in Norway, I have done nothing but shop for boats for the past year, looking for my version of "Marool" ? and I would do nothing more than good craftsmanship and easy to clean in my mind when refitting. Oh yeah, staying afloat too. Thanks for all the inspiration, again and again.
Not sure what her LOA is but what a wonderful layout . I'm in the process of a total refit on my 30 ft ketch and I will use a lot of what you two have Done . Angus New Englander .
Troy... I hope you truly appreciate Pascal, she is amazing woman, she has the most infectious smile and personality...you two have done an amazing refit on your sailing vessel! I hope you two continue continue your journey sailing!!!! I love your videos, thank you for sharing!
What you guys have done sailing around the Australian Continent in that little boat is just bloody amazing. And to film it the way you have and share it with all of us is very generous, kind and educational. I for one thank you very much for sharing your magnificent voyage especially during lockdown and I have massively gained emotionally from sharing this voyage with you. I am really looking forward to what happens next for you. Go on, have another lap, it is only a small island…
Yeah, I started watching via the second episode in The Bight, and when the camera was set in the stern, I thought, "****, that boat is tiny, I had no idea how small it was!" And to think, they passed my home port, Batemans Bay..
@@javedsiddiqui1870 So, Have you watched them all the way around Austrailia? I guess not. If you had, you would know, it was both bloody and amazing, and, bloody amazing. Watch it all, then you are qualified to comment.
Just found your channel and liked and subscribed. You two are great together. I also watched your crossing. That was real sailing. Wishing you all the best. I'll be keeping an eye on you two.
Glad am not alone in wondering if that was it for channel. Great to see whole of interior post refit. Can not imagine how good that must feel. Am rethinking sv size requirement completly. The three of you are beautiful together. All the best, Drew
I swear Pascale gets prettier by the day, you two are such an inspiration on how life's adventure can be done on a budget. Enjoy your break and hope you are back soon to inspire us all again.
Who would have guessed years ago that you would obtain 118000 subscribers, You must be doing something correctly. Congratulations and keep up the good work.
