Ryan hall saved my family’s life that night. It was the night before my wedding, and had we not had my rehearsal dinner, had I not been tuned in to Ryan Hall we would have died. My husband and I lost our home, my parents house sustained damage but was fixable. We got married the next day, despite not having electricity in the church.

I keep after husband to change a closet in our stairwell into a safe room for tornadoes. He won’t hear of it and thinks a hallway would be fine. Architecturally speaking, which is the stronger? A closet under a stairwell or a hallway? Windows are in an adjoining bathroom with the hallway but otherwise it is solid. Does anyone know?

I live in Russellville Kentucky so I know the weather here is very sporadic. My road and the road next to us was affected dramatically and I’ve never been so close to a tornado ever as I was that night. I was literally scared because I heard the jet like roaring and had a visual on it no further than it was from y’all so I know what y’all felt like.

I will never forget that night, it was the scariest of my life!! A tornado went right over our house in Nashville and Ryan Hall gave us a heads up long before the alarms went ofd. We were not caught off guard!! This crazy weather seems to be more commonplace here in the last couple of years. I'm so glad your family, animals and property was safe. I love his catch line, "Don't be scared, be prepared!"🕊❤

I just found your channel. I am from Northeastern Kentucky. I will never forget that night watching Ryan Hall and praying for everyone in the path of that tornado. After that night my husband and I decided to invest in a storm shelter just like yours. Unfortunately I have also been diagnosed with severe storm anxiety mainly tornadoes bc of this night. I'm in the UK and that was really scary, I was amazed that even though you were a mile away you could still hear it and all the dirt was hitting the hatch. Must be the best thing you ever did getting that shelter installed, why don't the schools in the path of these tornadoes have underground bunkers? Seems a no brainer to me,take care ☺🇬🇧

I follow a crafter that’s home was devastated by that tornado that hit Nashville. Just when she was getting to the point of allowing herself to live and craft again. Her oldest son passed suddenly at 15 years of age. Such an impact on that family. But through it all she has become stronger in and with the Lord. She has become quite the testimony. Her channel is Blessed Beyond Measure.

I live in Ga and last Tuesday April 5th tornadoes hit our state.In mid Ga we have WMAZ 13 and Ben Jones (our Ryan Hall) and his crew that were online and TV with coverage for the mid ga area.many times these meteorologists have saved lives.Kudos to all the Ryan Halls and Ben Jones who care to go the extra mile!! Prayers to all in Tennessee and Kentucky and Ga who suffered loss in these tornadoes

I’m a subscriber of Ryan Hall Y’all and as I was watching this from Pennsylvania I had started a prayer chain and God is so good that something good will come out of this. I've never heard of Ryan Hall, but I'm subscribed now! I'm sure glad you folks were missed. I'm in Mayfield and it's still hard to believe. My house has some damage but it's still standing. A building two houses down fell flat. Crazy!! I think I'll be checking into storm shelters.

Where are you located? More storms coming this weekend! Before we had a shelter we thought the best place for us may have been in our car all buckled up. Maybe with helmets? The car is nothing but windows though so it's hard to say. My thoughts were that if the car was crash tested and designed to go through rollovers and impact it may provide better protection than our manufactured home. 🤷‍♀️ See what the experts suggest for now! You might find a community shelter near you.

This young woman could be a younger version of me. As a child, and even into adulthood, I was absolutely terrified of thunderstorms, particularly at night. I too would try to hide from them. So glad this young family stayed safe, but so very sad for all those lost.

Glad you all are okay. I watched this from Ontario, in Canada, as a storm chaser for what we call tornado alley up here. Nocturnal severe weather is the most dangerous and traumatizing because you can't see it in the dark until it's too late. We've had active severe weather in late October when we shouldn't, so it's very unusual so late in the season; especially in December.

God Bless you all. We live just East of Nashville, in Lebanon. Yes in 2020 we experienced the tornado that year. The destruction was overwhelming! We have no where to safely ride out severe storms/tornadoes, and I pray one day soon we can obtain a storm shelter like the one you have. I always listen to Brian Hall y’all. He’s well educated in his field and provides the best minute to minute details of approaching severe weather. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe. ❤️

Definitely know that event very well. My grandma lives off Leevile Pike by the airport. That tornado came maybe 500 yards from her. The only damage she had was a few small limbs down in her yard. God looks out for His children.

I remember this night so well. And yes, Ryan Hall is the man…him and his team… So grateful for them. I live in Cadiz KY on South Road. The house, the land, the trees were all spared that night. But so many of my Amish friends, their families and my other friends did not have that same luck. I remember the next morning I went outside and the gratitude I felt was immense.

Ryan Hall brought me to your video. I also went through the Ef4 tornado that hit Tuscaloosa in 2011. It missed our apartment by just 3 blocks. Your video brought it all back. It brought tears to my eyes your respect for those that lost everything. It isn't easy exposing your fear. I don't live in Alabama anymore but still go through anxiety every spring. @@SageandStoneHomestead The weather here is generally 👌. It's the memories that 11 years on will always be very vivid. I lost a few friends to that storm and knew several people that lost everything. I was incredibly blessed but also carried a lot of guilty that we had the close call we did. The tornado was so close that you could feel the apartment shake and debris was being thrown down in front of our building. I shutter whenever there is any noise that even remotely resembles that and even a thunderstorm can make me anxious. I'm grateful for Ryan Hall for all he does to prepare people everywhere. And I can take comfort in knowing that he helped your family as well.

I’ve seen so much destruction from the 12/10 tornados that it was heartening to see that your family and critters made it through okay. I hope your video convinces some folks to get storm shelters. You talked about survivor’s guilt, but you may be saving lives with your story.

I live in eastern Kentucky it’s so fun to see people like you from my same state not many people vlog from Kentucky this can definitely do some damage by actually on the last day of school before winter break loaded up Christmas presents in our school buses from Pikeville Kentucky to send to you guys for the kids for the people that lost everything

My heart truly goes out to you folks. I can empathize with you because I was in a tornado back in 1982 in Paris, Tx. It was the scariest thing I’ve ever been thru. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you!

She is a great narrator for video. Very smart and I love that she can be emotional. You have a good girl and appreciate her forever. Maybe a radio and small antenna tv for the shelter. cellphones are not reliable. A go bag with all you paperwork, cash and some medical. Love the shelter

We have a hand crank radio for down there as well as things like food, water and batteries, medical supplies and a bucket with cat litter and a lid if we have to be down there for a length of time. We just got a portable battery pack too that holds a long charge and can charge devices. The cell phones worked well down there when we kept them toward the top/door.

You have an amazing bunch of kids- so brave! Having a storm shelter seems to be more and more necessary, but they aren't exactly cheap. I know because I want one BADLY, as I live in GA where tornadoes do happen. The price is the only reason I haven't gotten one, but I just had an idea: What if a few families with houses close to each other all go in on one together?! I feel like that would make it more of a reality for many people who can't afford one on their own! Anyhow, stay safe everyone, and happy new year! 😁🍀🦄🔮🥂🎀

Yes our livestock guardian dogs live outside 100% of the time with our livestock animals. To retrieve them would risk human safety and we do not have interest in doing that.

Not having the layout of our farm or the perception that comes with being in the middle of our exact situation I can see why it is hard to understand why there wasn't a plan to retrieve our livestock guardian dogs. Im intrigued about the storm shelter, what lifesavers! What items do you keep in your shelter? Seeing that you could be trapped in it for awhile if a structure were to land on top. Was it a huge investment? A tour of it would be interesting.

I have some old videos showing it a little bit but I will have to update that! The shelter was $6,000 installed. I linked the company in the description but neglected to mention the company in the video itself! We have food, water, medical supplies and 2 buckets with lids and litter in them for waste should we have to be down there a long time. We brought a battery pack charger for our phones and extra batteries for our weather radio. I had all of our important documents and papers in my purse which I brought with me. Thankfully family and neighbors do know about the shelter and would be able to direct rescue to the shelter if it got covered by debris! Totally possible.

They are not of the same quality so I apologise in advance! I'll definitely have to do an updated tour. We had flooding issues in it when they first installed. It is water tight now though!

Ryan was a blessing and his non-stop 11hrs live transmission should helped save many lives. We were watching his transmission and (Indiana) and we prepared. We didn’t have damages but God! So many ppl does and it’s so sad. Injured ppl and deaths. My prayers with them. He is the only weatherman or weather channel on YT I trust. I’m really happy you guys are safe and ok. I looked up channel this morning and this popped up on my feed. I have now even more admiration for you. How scary for you and I know even though I wasn’t there I know y’all were helping everyone!!!! We live on what’s called tornado alley. But the power of God keeps us safe. Storms don’t bother me but they bother my husband so he can understand your situation too. He gets mad at me because I’ll be out there trying to figure out how many goats and chickens and dogs and turkeys I can get in the house. 😅 I usually end up either staying at the barn or making sure they are tucked in good right before it hits. We do a lot to buckle down the farm during storm season but there is only so much that can be done. If we were hit everything would have taken major damage. I'm so glad we were not!!

I am terrified of storms. I live in east central MO. We've had several tornado warnings in the past two weeks. My daughter and I go to my Exhusbands house when we know there's going to be warnings because he has a basement and we live 15 m8n away in an apt. Thank God for my exhusband. He knows how I get when there are severe storms coming our way. I want a storm shelter! We have severe storms moving in on Saturday so I will be all set up with my kids, grandkids pupyp and cat. We have our to go bags ready and waiting. I follow Reed Timmer and live feeds and trust him 100%. God bless you and your family and stay safe!

Its' my dream to move to Kentucky/Tennessee sometime in the near future. I watched Ryan Hall y'all and when he mentioned that it's a rarity to have basements my thought during these storms was if I ever get to move down there (I'm from Michigan) a storm shelter is being built as well. Like you said, you never know when you're going to need it.

So glad ur family was safe and y’all made it through the storm! And ur dog is the cutest thing! Ryan hall y’all if you don’t know who that is look him up he is dedicated and extremely smart. I also live in Kentucky in an extremely small town I we have one red light in the hole town and I remember the storm like it was yesterday, I have no tornado shelter and no basement I took shelter in a bathroom after driving around my small town to gather my family we all packed into a small bathroom but like these people god was truly looking out for us! Everyone impacted by this storm is still dealing with post traumatic stress syndrome and for very good reason. Just glad ur family is okay and ur farm was still there. 🙏
