Ennui is the combination of tiredness & boredom. Which to me translates to the feeling we all have while we stay up late at night with our phones on our hands.
It’s basically having dissatisfaction in your daily routine that you come to in a sense “love” can’t correlate with any other emotion just happens when you can’t continue and want something more, yet you just have that feeling of repressing the urge yet you can’t :) but still you continue to become aware that the boredom, solemn feeling of being alone comes with just being bored. ENNUI 😊
Ennui means bored, uninterested, tired, annoyed, unimpressed, lazy, not phased, dead inside, and hopeless. One of the most common teenage personalities.

@@brickstudio9224 I'm a native french speaker, both mean the same thing, even the definitions you mentionned are expressing the same feeling differently
Envy is the corruption of the heart and mind, leading to actions that are contrary to the virtues of love, kindness, and gratitude. It’s the opposite of being content and thankful for what one has.
I don’t understand this, because we know every emotion has a god side and bad side, but why Joy is the only positive one? I would love to see Confidence or Calmness for example (I know both feeling are very rare in teenagers, but I’m just giving examples)
Not all the emotions are negative see sometimes you have to be sad and disgust protect you from being poison both physically and socially and fear is meant to keep you safe most of the time and and anger to make sure you have the power to stand up to yourself and get treated fairly and joy is to make sure you’re not depressed and that you’re happy most of the time sometimes you have to be sad don’t really know about the other emotions, but we find out inside out 2
No, it's not. It's similar but different. Being a synonym doesn't necessarily make it mean the same exact thing. I don't care if dingdongs in a video say something. It doesn't make it true. If you're getting knowledge from random RU-vid guys, maybe try getting knowledge from actual sources.
Because she was only revealed very late, has almost literally only 38 seconds and two scenes of screentime and is not very crucial to the plot. (OK, I won't write it a fourth time.)
it’s a French word for Boredom. Actually my favorite part of Ennui is the fact that she is kinda misunderstood. Yes she is bored lol, she is every teenager, on their phone, couldn’t care less, my favorite part of her character is how people first perceive her. Ennui? What is that right? It adds to her way of being “too cool for you”. Being bilingual and different. Her attitude, facial animation and overall presentation is perfect.
The new outside movie two there are gonna be more curtains of others. One of them are gonna be be so crying. There are ones are just like them glowing and much different like them.
They used the term ENNUI so all the sounds of the new emotions starts with E. Embarrassment, Envy, Ennui, Enxiety (jk. I know it starts with A but if you say it it sounds like an E)
Well ennui is originally a french word that is more deeper emotion than just boredom. That’s why it is pronounced so differently. It also explains why ennui speaks with french accent.
Fun fact about ennui: the reason why they didn’t just name it boredom and instead named it boredom in French was so that the character wouldn’t sound boring!
